And the question still remains to this day from when I first heard Allan Holdsworth. How, on Earth, do you manage to get a guitar to do that, let alone sound like that. I suppose pianists could ask the same thing about Alan Pasqua.
When I watched this episode 100 times all my life, the part with the fountain pen flew to Larry's head. was so hilarious, but when I found out Larry was really hurt and injured by the pen gag, I felt kind of awful about it they should've cut that part off, still, it was funny, but White should've use a softer rubber harmless pen and Moe wouldn't try to rip him apart at the set
Copy and Pasted from Three Stooges wiki. During the film's climax, Larry's forehead is piereced by a fountain pen that flies out of their invention. Although the scene was staged, Larry was legitimately injured by the fountain pen, and upon the film finishing ripped it out of his forehead, causing both ink and blood to run down his face. Furious, Larry unleashed a profane torrent of screams at Jules White for what had happened, but discovered immediately afterwards that a group of schoolchildren had been on set as part of a school trip to watch their performance. Larry recounted his sincere guilt for acting out in front of the children in his later years.
Producers of the TV series, Get Smart, must have been fans of the Stooges, because in the season two episode, Rub-A-Dub Dub, Three Spies On A Sub, Max (Don Adams) does the Falling-Out-Of-The-Hammock gag
Was playing organ in a funk band in Atlantic City N.J in 73’. The guitarist in the band was studying with Pat at the time. I get off the stage and saw Pat and said hello etc. I used to sit and watch those guitar lessons as well. Pat says “ I really like those ostinato figures you’re playing “ I thanked him but didn’t know what he meant haha. Must’ve seen him six times in Philly at these tiny clubs either with his trio or quartet. Awesome performances !!! I saw Joey play in Vienna at Joe Zawinul’s club years ago and he blew me away !!! We talked for a bit after his last show and communicated on FB when he posted songs on organ, trumpet and sax. Bomaye ❤
