What kind of materials you use for making this ???
@Yuya_Kobayashi
@Yuya_Kobayashi 23 дня назад
I’m using high-grade iron only, to explain in detail, it's high-end low carbon cold-rolled steel plates.

Hi yuya! What is the name of the the stake/ anvil piece you use to hammer the metal sheet against? I want to make a copper sculpture by hand hammering and creating curves but cannot seem to find them online, did you make them yourself? I read you called them "Ategane" was that the actual anvil stake or the technique? Love your work by the way it is awesome!
@Yuya_Kobayashi
@Yuya_Kobayashi 4 месяца назад
Hi, Thanks for your interest. Yes, "Ategane" (当て金) is the actual name of the tools. All of the Ategane were handmade by me. Making the Ategane is one of the most important part of the Japanese traditional Shibori technique.

@Yuya_Kobayashi
@Yuya_Kobayashi 7 месяцев назад

Sir Yuya Kubayashi... I think you might want to know the mystery method of Japanese Artisan Sobi Yamada "the mysterious puzzle of The Rabbits ear... and possibly the truth why the technique was hidden to the public knowledge.

Hai Yuya, please don't stop with the rabbit project, its really a high art work project, please upload the video upon succeed in doing it. And Hopefully you can have an exhibition at National Gallery - Jakarta for your piece of arts work, for sure I will cover the story. Ganbate!

Hi, thanks for the comment. Jakarta!, it sounds great. Honestly, most difficult thing is economical reasons. It become too long unpaid work/investigation without support like that TV program. Also my primary concern is how this traditional technique can be used in today's world. Anyway, I still keep improving my hammering technique in my daily work.
