Thank you for the tutorial. It seems that a Chinese guy created a Maya Plugin that rigs Daz characters with the metahuman rig. I wonder if you could check it and let us know your opinion: Metahuman rigging tutorial _ DAZ one-button rigging _ DAZ UE rigging (RU-vid Video). There is also another foreign guy (nationality unknown) who created a script that does the same in Maya: Transfer Metahuman Rig to any face (Maya). (Also RU-vid Video) Thanks again!
I use live face inside of iclone and use live link to transfer the data into unreal engine 5. When I hit my usual record, the body animations save to sequencer but her face animations will not. Even though it shows everything animating inside of the viewport. She's a metahuman. Any suggestions? No one seems to have the solution lol...
This is awesome! Your aesthetic sense is uncommon. The vudu photograph projection in Substance Painter enhances the realism of your final work. I've been trying to figure out if that sort of projection is possible in Quixel Mixer. Just can't find the answer. I found tutorials showing how to paint the metahuman face in Quixel, but how not to project a photograph as you do in Substance. Substance Painter's subscription model is prohibitive for most non-professionals. I wonder if you could let us know if that sort of image projection is possible in Quixel. ...Great work! I want to Live Link a Perception Neuron 3 body, Stretchsense gloves, and iPhone ARKit face in order to use the take recorder for mocap in one go. Then bake the animation etc. Is this even doable?

If you don't see the face control board... press the "g" key and nothing else. It might appear for you. I spent several hours looking for a solution. Save yourself from the pain and just press "g"

this Pin Bone with 7 bones was automatically set when was generated, but my ik hand gun is attached to right hand, how can i make it keep on original position like how on old skeleton was?
ok so its not a skill issue. unreal hair rendering is actually dogshit. good to know. pathtrace looks softer and nice, but lumen is crap. but i cannot justify using it for its render times!

Question, I was making my own clothes for the character, I'm trying to hang them on the character, everything seemed to be imported and connected normally. yes, when the character stands in clothes and the IDLE animation is played, everything is cool, but as soon as the character starts running or jumping, the clothes start to sag and fly off in the area of the elbows (sometimes they start to flicker and rattle as if it were a glitch in the video card), when the character stops, the clothes return to their place. I've already broken my head - I can't find a solution, I've tried different settings, I've tried connecting different skeletons to clothes - nothing really changes. For some reason, there is no such problem with Shoes. Everything was imported and attached immediately.
Could you do a video tutorial please of creating a character in Character Creator, importing it into UnReal Engine 5 and then control the character with an xbox controller and also use Live Face link to do real time speaking? Also use a keyboard controls to change facial expressions etc, like sad, angry?

@@Jobutsu I know how to do it the old way, setting up the blendspace and animation blueprint. I just cant find the new skeleton with mixamo character rigged to manny skeleton after following this tutorial. All it gives is an IK rig
I get that this is an outdated vid now, but for anyone like me that stumbled upon this. You missed just a few more steps that will finish it off correctly. This worked for me in UE5.1, following your tutorial and including the below extra steps In the Control Rig graph > under the step 1 group > the FootTrace function should also be replaced with the Virtual foot bones (left and Right respectively) In the Control Rig graph > under the step 4 group > the ModifyTransforms function should also be replaced with the Virtual foot bones (left and Right respectively)
Thanks for posting this! Do you have a tutorial on blending face and body with idle animation? Currently having an issue with blending the body (idle) animation in my sequencer. Once I disable post processing in blueprint in the details panel, my face animation is gone but head is blended.
Thanks great Vid... I have a quick one, what is the purpose of the unused Root that you deleted. I seen some tutorials where its kept and just dragged with the body under Mesh, I tested it a bit myself aswell. By retaining the Root you skip the error that appears of the missing target and everything still seems to work at the end. Just asking.
