Concept designer by day, filmmaker by night. Welcome to my channel, where I post cinematic short videos in Blender and Unreal Engine, breakdowns and tutorials, have fun :)
I dont remember specificaly, but Its probably just a basic default setup from the Ultra Dynamic sky addon - some kind of overcast template. But volumes are tricky in UE as well, its hard to point you without knowing the specifics :)
the terrain is a combination of a mountain landscape I got from @MartinKlekner enviro course and mech displaced with PatternGenerator. And the clouds I believe are free VDB clouds from embergen library
I used Quixel Mixer for this one, but it doesnt matter at the end of the day what texturing software you use. I usualy use Substance painter, just wanted to test out Mixer.
WOW, those fighters could fly through an atmosphere space without using external thrusters. That is some pretty advanced or hyper-advanced ships are the right words.
@@RobertVajda-art It's too extravagant to be an escape pod, and it is too small to be an evacuation ship. By my guess, if I'm correct it should be a drop pod or some kind of atmospheric re-entry vehicle.
Looks fantastic. The one step that really blows me away is when you light your scene at about 1:35. What changes did you make to get that mood, and have you got any tips for lighting and finishing your scenes?
Hey, Im glad you like it. Well I guess there is no magical solution to lighting. I just had several references that had more colder lighting scenarious and I just tried to match them. Its always about trial and error. In the first setting there was too much warm sunlight and highlights in the scene, I was going for more of a overcast situation. And in Unreal I use Ultra Dynamic Sky for lighting, its very easy a quick to get interesting results. And a tip for finishing a scene, I use a few layers of soft glow, realy subtly, it can add a nice realistic look to your shots.
