None taken. The videos are intended for myself originally, and the addons are meant to help me understand what was going on around me when the video was recorded. The ret ability addon is CLCret, I run Skada and Recount for damage and healing tracking, the Wintergrasp timer is an addon I made for myself, Pallypower is what you see on the right side for buffing the raid, I used Moveanything to move the paladin aura bar, the extra bars are from Extrabar, XPerl for Player/Target/Focus/Targettarget UI, TidyPlates for nameplate replacements, SoundAlerter tells me when an important PVP spell is used, SaySapped tells my teammates I'm sapped, WIM for handling whispers in an IM style, PlateBuffs shows important buffs on nameplates, BattlegroundTargets shows enemy raid frame, and Healbot for friendly raid frame. I hope this helps!
1,5k rated delusional guy stuck 20years back in time that paid real money to get his gear on private server flexing with 4 cap vs pve players, peak icecrown, also im pretty sure you reskill lowbies in stranglethorn inbetween ques
You get used to it. Playing at higher resolution (1440p and above) also helps a lot. TBH I do it this so when I review my videos, I can tell what was happening in the battleground. The videos are mostly for myself, but I don't mind other people watching them.
@@syahronifebri My paladin specific addons are CLCret (cooldown display) and Pallypower (buffs) You can also run something like this: forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=428930
That's true and I also hate it when Alliance does the same. Maybe one day we'll have a guild with enough players to play battlegrounds internally without relying on randoms. It can be like a pick-up basketball game where teams can be rebalanced/repicked as needed.
HI, for PVP I recommend trying out a few classes/specs on Blackrock realm. You get instant 80 and Relentless PVP gear for free, full professions, glyphs and talent points.
I played with minimal UI at first and slowly added the items I actually use, i.e., mini-map, raid frame, extra buttons, cooldown display... etc. The unit frames were moved because as my screen got larger, it became harder for my peripheral vision to cover the corners of my screen for constant monitoring of my health/status and that of my target's. The general rule is to have more important items near the center of the screen and items on the edge are for informational use or only used occasionally. UI should always be a work in process that constantly evolves. At the end of the day, it's more important for an UI to be "good enough" than to look good. Once you get used to a certain UI, you won't even notice it.
If you played the original WotLK, you would know that Warmane is actually a very good copy of it. In fact, you can connect to Warmane using any 3.3.5a client from 2010.
@@Bramandin You never played retail WotLK in 2010? What I was trying to say is, the client used to connect to Warmane is identical to what was used back in 2010 for official WotLK when it was live, so the only difference is scripting. And as far as scripting goes, Warmane looks and feels pretty close to what I can remember from retail WotLK back in 2010.
I actually transmogged my PVE gear to look identical to my PVP gear. But you are right, I fully embrace the P2W system. It's honestly not worth the grind unless you have zero disposable income.
Yeah, I highly recommend Warmane. There always enough people to play with. However, like with any private server, if you want a consistent experience, it's best to bring your friends or form your own guild/groups/raids.
Yeah, I do. It's the price I pay for doing slightly more damage than other rets. Most are 3/17/51, and I'm 7/13/51. That said, this goes to show how little skill you actually need to play this game and have fun as long as you have the right spec and gear.
-CLCret (Ret cooldown display) -Healbot (Raid frame) -BattlegroundTargets (Enemy Team frame. There's a working version for Warmane mercenary mode on their forum somewhere. I don't use merc mode so the original 3.3.5a one works fine) -Move Anything -DBM -ExtraBar -GearScoreLite -LoseControl -PallyPower -PlateBuffs -SpellAlerter -SoundAlerter -TidyPlates -Recount
@@hwkrs I use CLCret instead of weakaura. There is a weakaura posted on warmane forum: forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=428930 and forum.warmane.com/showthread.php?t=428944 I have not tried these personally, so good luck!
Arena is a different game. I prefer the chaotic nature of BGs where no one knows what CDs you have or how much time they have to finish the fight before reinforcement arrives. Also, TBH, I lack the reflex and precision to do well in arena anyway. Besides, the meta for paladins are Holy and Preg, which I don't enjoy playing.
Thanks. The population is great. There are always people to play with casually. For the best experience, it's always better to bring your own friends or form your own groups.
i mean ok... the ui is just not for me.... but what it really killed for me that you even have floating combat text enabled like wtf XDDDD still cool vid tho
Now in bgs horde have more form blackrock guy ganking bgs, now people join play bgs is bad experience , Players from Blackstone, they use free free action potions and props, unlimited relays constantly destroy the game experience, causing a very bad game experience for ordinary players, I have given up playing bgs
I am sorry to hear that. They usually come in waves. I hope one day we get solo queue RBG with forced mercenary mode so RBGs can be a more balanced experienced for everyone.
I just remembered that you can also try queuing for Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm directly (or any two of your favorite BGs). This will allow you to switch from one BG to another if the queue pops.
I seem to have better luck playing during US evenings. Too many premades during EU evenings and it's frustrating because no one wants to do objectives during those hours.
