The world in the 40s was vastly different in small town America. No pervs. People could practically sleep at night with windows open , no fear of robbery. And the morality bar nationwide was astronomically higher than it is today. And children were actually allowed to be children. Not exploited by industry and even their parents for likes and subscriptions on media platforms now.
Wade is the ultimate boyfriend. He's understanding and empathetic, but at the same time he can be firm with her when he sees that Ember is hurting herself.
@@chantdemort5464 So then why didn't you remember that when you first commented? Also, you weren't convinced a gay person was good just because you "read the books", clearly. I think that makes your point a little moot, no?
Me and my wife were both crying like babies when we saw this... had to edit and add this, we continue to watch this film and everytime we see this same part we cry lol... ahh we are loving saps
You know I wonder if gloreth did that for nimona, telling her to retreat back to the shadows where she was safe because she saw how people reacted to nimona and how they were hurting her
There's a chance of that but at the same time she built a big wall to keep her out yet she was inside anyway which I thought was really funny, cause like a wall is gonna keep a being that can shape shift into literally any animal out
I love this film, and I love its dark tone, but I will also defend Hugo, Victor, and Laverne to the death. They're not just in the film for comic relief, they're Quasimodo's guardian angels, they're a reminder that he's not like them. They know that they're just stone and that they're just part of the architecture. They also know that Quasimodo is human and that he belongs in the world, not cooped up in the bell tower forever. I can't imagine The Hunchback of Notre Dame without them
