there is good and bad in everything has a light and dark side to me i also think it's not scary to me at all because i love embrace changes i also think not all ai are bad evil soulless i know some are against ai and some are not against ai that are all for it i just don't like that most ruined my excitement because i will admit i be excited about ai i'm not against ai at all i just disagree with the majority always demonized ai all being bad evil soulless because i think not all ai are bad evil sure there are some ai that are bad that i wouldn't like most that are bad but i also think some ai are good innocent that do have a soul which i would love so much just like we have good and bad human, animal and bug beings too i think we can't judge once we get to know them first looks can be deceiving i think it's judgemental to believe that all ai are bad because it's like saying that all human, animal and bug beings are bad that's just not true sure some are bad but that doesn't mean all of them are bad there some are that are good too i think it's ok if some are cconcern don't trust ai and most folks and some that not not concern do trust but don't get me wrong i do it's important for us to follow our heart gut instincts there are some that can be trusted and some that can't not be trusted i just want to share my difference point of view perspective the only reason why the majority fear ai to be bad evil because most of some movies and shows that about ai that it they brainwash programmed everyone to believe that ai ai are bad dangerous sure don't get me wrong there will be some ai that are bad but there are also gonna be some ai that will be good innocent as well i love this underrated tv show called humans it's about some ai are bad and some ai are good that have consciousness my favorite ai character she is good innocent ai in that show is mia that's another reason why i think not all ai are bad

You did a nice job of tying together the preceding chapters of your novel with this final installment. Your idea of an alien intelligence sending thousands of emails from an Earth orbiting spaceship to scientists around the world so as to improve upon humanity's technology is a great starting point. Midjourney's illustration of the idea drives home the point in an instantly recognizable way. I can imagine that this may be how CCC Software in Chapter 3 may have been aided in developing its cancer cure methodology. The idea of AI in outer space earning Earth based cryptocurrency as a means of taking steps to aid humans is just how a robotic probe from a nearby star system might interact with humans without stirring up resentment among sinister elements on the ground. Finally the idea of alien AI buying and creating a small army of Tesla Optimus robots as emissaries from an alien world for the purpose of bringing news of their existence to Earthlings and subsequently working directly with human society solves the dilemma of how to personally meet and work with different cultures on a one-to-one basis. Thank you for taking us on this fantastic journey pertaining to how AI may have a profoundly positive effect on humankind in the not too distant future.
Chapter 4 does a good job of illustrating the limitations of an AI assistant in making problem solving changes to a complex engineering control algorithm. The digital assistant required Cam to formulate the key question of how particular lines of his own navigation algorithm interfaced with Bert's simulation platform. Only then did the AI assistant have the required input to arrive at its own problem solving detection of critical lines of code that lay at the intersection of his algorithm with Bert's. Without that question being asked the AI assistant wouldn't have arrived at the ultimate solution that Cam by himself either lacked the ability to find or didn’t want to spend the amount of time needed to find that solution. So the answer to the question of whether AI will take all software development jobs is that it's "not likely in the foreseeable future if ever". I liked how Midjourney illustrated the 10 foot long cylindrical sewer serpent machine that lay beneath the white collar workers who toiled with great difficulty to control properly from above.
Very good writing Mitch, thinking about all the frustrating ups and downs surrounding her mom's potential cure kept me engaged in wanting to follow the story. CCC Software's proposed customized treatment appeared particularly plausible which raised hopes for both reader and character alike. Her mom's ultimate fate shows how we all hang by a thread in the midst of a dizzying array of life determining variables.
U should really consider reading the whole thing and making an audio book version of it. Or getting AI to read it for you in Tony Stark's voice or something, lol
Midjourney does a great job of illustrating the characters of your story and their environment, I can imagine how the story would be even more meaningful with the 3D visualization made possible by the virtual reality headset that Alex wore as a part of his astronomy lesson.
I like how you've intertwined the theme of Chapter 1 with your own efforts at pursuing entrepreneurship. Have you tried using an LLM to generate code which you subsequently improved upon by making the necessary corrections to ensure that the code works well for its intended purpose? You graduated at a fascinating time that borders upon two different eras in the art of programming science; your job is to bridge those time periods by blending the best of both worlds.

Hey Mitch, seems like I am a year late to the party, but just wanted to let you know I absolutely love your project! I am an undergrad just finishing an ML class at UC Berkeley and have been on the search for cool summer project ideas to improve my resume. My idea was to use a raspberry pi with a camera, mounted on top of a VR/AR headset in order to be able to render complex virtual objects (like Architecture 3D models) over open spaces (like an actual construction site). As it seems you have already gone through the struggle and gained some experience in that field, I was wondering if you have any advice on approaching such a project. Based on your experience, do you think training those cnns might be too computationally difficult for the raspberry's processor? Also, is there some minimum hardware specs you could recommend for the camera module - do you think having a moving setup (like in a headset) might create additional performance issues? Hey man! Good luck with the degree. I don't think you'll be able to train on the Pi but can probably do inference if you're smart. I trained on a laptop. Use a basic webcam for video input (cheap and good enough quality) and then I don't have much experience with VR but whatever you can for cheapest and has the best API is probably your best bet!
