I got there early this year, so I parked my Experia behind the school. Later, in the classic bike area I found a Honda 400/4 like the bike I rode around Kenya in the 1980s. I took a drone shot of the big field with thousands of bikes. I haven't had time to edit it, but I put last year's Cassington Bike Night on RU-vid.
That looks like a nice day out, good mix with trail, road & sightseeing! P.s.... I had a long ride out on Saturday - and had a few people scanning your sticker (that you gave me) that's on display on the front of my bike!
Hi, thanks for watching. The panniers are just a set of throw over Oxford ones without the rack, not sure if triumph have done a pannier rack for them yet 😊
Hiya, joining something like green lane association has lots of mapping info or subscribe to OS mapping gives you all of the byways that are out there, I joined green lane association as the subscription helps pay towards upkeep, legislation and access to the trails 😊 there’s also the Trail riders federation (TRF)
Bridgestone even! looks to be a good choice you made there. I had Conti TKC 80's on my 660, they were great. Recently wore them out, so I replaced them with the tamer TKC 70. Not sure if I'll regret it, as I've not been in the rough stuff since.
Oh dear me @gezwaters5347 I’ve just realised my rookie error right there 😂 I was incredibly tired when I did the edit. There’s plenty of choice out there on tyres for sure, but it’s a bit limited with the strange Himalayan rear tyre size 😁
Hello @gekkozzz these are the standard ceat tyres the bike came with from new, however I have just upgraded to Continental Battlax AX41 tyres, my next upload this week is a full review, so keep an eye out for that one 😀
Great video as always. I first saw the new BSA at the bike show in 2022. I’ve not seen one close up since 😕 A friend of mine has one on his short list. What colour would you choose?
I really liked the Goldstar in the chrome finish, but to be honest I really liked them all. Really nice quality good looking bikes, ill be interested to see if they launch any others in the future.
You two look familiar 😀 It was great to meet you both, at the very end of your Wiltshire blast. I admire the get up, and get out there attitude! Nice review on the Triumph - it looked great in the flesh too! I now have a Yawning Cat sticker - thanks! Gez
I live in California and am a survivor of prostate cancer. I received External Beam radiation Therapy (Laser focused treatment.). I really enjoy how you Brits go about creating a really cool biker community and quite frankly I wish it was like that here where I live. I like to hop on my Sporty and ride in the country to get away from it all. I wish all of you the very best and thank you for the video. I subscribed just for fun
🙌🏻 yayeeee another survivor, I’m so sorry you’ve been on the cancer journey. The UK biker scene seems to go from strength to strength which is amazing, hopefully one day I’ll visit California and check out the bike scene in America 😊 thanks for the subscribe, keep an eye out for other adventures on two wheels.
@@yawningcat Thank you ! I consider myself lucky because treatment was available and successful. I encourage your Distinguished Gentlemen over 50 to get screened for prostate cancer regularly no matter how uncomfortable and un-distinguished it is LOL.. If the PSA goes up fairly quickly it's probably cancer
@@yawningcat yep. I'm exactly the same. I'll keep the stock ones on until they wear out which I'm told is around the 3000 mile mark and then put something else on. I had tkc 80's on my old himmie and they are the nuts in mud! But you only get about 3000 miles out of them. Depends what you're gonna use the bike for I guess. Happy riding.
Well done! Knowing when to postpone a ride is a sign of maturity! I don't know if you're familiar with 'Nathan the Postman' but his day job is Dorothys Speedshop where they organise day rides and tours to include greenlaning in small groups with Nathan leading the way and providing support/advice which I know many novice offroaders have spoken very highly of. Maybe contact them for details on the greenlaning days for the year? it would certainly help with raising skills and confidence.
You missed some ace lanes around Avebury that aren’t rutted. Marlborough Downs Chalk mixed with mud and stock tyres are not fun I know from personal experience! Wiltshire has many great lanes that are Himalayan friendly 😂
I did so much research about the trails on trail wise, however I still got caught out 😁 I just love Wiltshire, it’s such a special place . . . . next time I’ll visit with some decent tyres hopefully 😊 thanks for watching!
Thanks for a fun video. I am near Stratford Upon Avon and trying to find time for similar fun on my Guzzi V85TT, using lanes a little further north. Some great stuff.
Aww thanks for watching there’s so many lanes quite local to Stratford and Evesham, it’s amazing what’s hidden away ! Maybe see you on a trail in the middle of nowhere one day 😁 ride safe 👍🏻
Just come across your video's here on RU-vid, I like them so far, just one minor point if you can sort out your Mic as it is very difficult to hear you content especially when the engine is running. Thank you
Many thanks for watching ! The microphone in the videos is actually my intercom, I don't yet have a stand alone microphone. I'll certainly be investing in one very soon though as I've realised it's an issue 😊 so keep watching this space for upgrades when I can 😉
