Over the years my channel has evolved into more of a lifestyle, from scratch cooking, whole foods eating, suburban homesteading channel. So the original name Joan's Pointed Plate no longer fit. This wkend we have a full wkend for Labor Day at camp full of activities bbq, field day games, I'm running the popcorn machine, band, glow party stuff all 3 days! Next wkend we are having a surprise party for Terry's 70th at camp then the next wkend a surprise Jack and Jill at camp!!! Gonna have to write my mouth shut!!

My Electrolux canister is also a dead pig also. Lol it also no longer swivels at the head and no longer makes parts. I have a small Rocket which I like but has a small dust container. Need to investigate $$.
I hate the way Kohl's does the coupons now. It was so nice back in the day and we got such good deals. I tried to use it on my Kitchen aid and they won't accept them for that either.
I love Adam's meal prep. He did such a great job narrating on his first video. Why is he not still doing it? He should just do it all himself, since it's his thing, imo.

We have had an Electrolux vacuum for many many years. So hard to find a good vacuum for sure! When I worked at the daycare they had a Miele and I was not a fan of that one. That Shark you got looks like a good vacuum! Nice to see the boys all helping and doing chores too. Enjoy the last dog days of summer!
Oh my goodness you said it I also grew up in the 70’s-80’s, and loved my life. My grandchildren are on travel baseball leagues school baseball leagues when a family needs two calendars one to keep up with kids sports and one for everything else. Something is wrong.
No more hot days here, it's 72 today and the garden is wrapping up. I planted a Fall planting but I'm not sure if it's gonna grow much. I get my Bone Density and Mammo at the same time. They don't think it's a torn cuff - it's more neck than shoulder. Hoping the MRI shows something fixable! It's feeling better each day :). Next time you buy tea, try the Harney and Sons Boston! Also amazing!

So many things to comment on! The Chai bread looks delicious and I am tempted to give it a try but probably without the glaze. I hope you are on the path with your shoulder to being good as gold soon! I'm happy that you said the dump cake was only okay so now I won't waste my time.....or the calories. Lastly, I know that you have been swamped with all of Doug's health/hospital issues, and your markets and just life in general, and I know that you said your content focus was shifting, but I have to say I miss your updates for your health/weight loss maintenance. How do you feel your intentional eating is going? Is that working the way you want it to and is it feeling natural after all your years of focused tracking? I love watching your videos, I alway get some great ideas and inspiration; I especially love your longer ones for the days I decide treadmill walk rather than getting outside in the heat or freezing cold. Thank you for all you do for us!
I feel good about my eating. I am up on the scale this summer. It was rough with so many hospital stays (cafeteria food!) and people cooking for us. I am back to being VERY intentional. I want to get back to some health/weight loss content soon, like monthly weigh ins!
I wish I could run. I broke my ankle many years ago and now have a artificial ankle and can't run it but I can do lot's of other things. I tried the Larabars never had them, really like them.
