I know this is quite old, but we both have the easy ability to make homing missiles / drones now And also i figured id mention that warheads are wildly unreliable for SE. Atm, the best way to use them is with event controllers with "block removed = detonate", otherwise they frequently will get broken by splash defo damage and just not go off
At some point, someone will figure out to fill a Programmable Block with coding that, when the block is activated, alters how the AT-ST moves - turning it into a walker which respons to regular keybinds. ASDF will make it move in the appropriate direction, and the mouse movement will first move the head and guns, and then turn the entire walker if it's still moving - and only turn the head so far before the legs need to reposition to allow turning, exactly how it moves in the Battlefront games. I know this is possible, I've seen similar work done. I can't want for someone to figure all this out. Either way, this is also absolutely amazing work!
Also, next time, try a cluster nuke. If the target is underneath it's never a miss. Vary the rotation speed upon release of warheads to create a bigger or smaller dispersion.
Use cluster nukes, smaller ones, time release. Instead of a million voxels all needing instant update, that time can be well used for good cinema, making many tiny booms appear as one.
Every type of explosive item does very similar per unit damage; using something like pistol mags would allow you to make super tiny missles if yoy want. Cool concept.
The door mechanism is incredible. When I tryied to build an LAAT, I used 2 pistons linked in L. One would push the door away from the ship, but just a little bit. The other would push the door back. It used a lot of space. But this gave me an Idea. A rotor serving as a hinge, that angles the door away just a little bit. Then a piston pushes it to the back.
Look at my beautiful weapon! Sweet ascension of doom. Positioning for launch cycle. Release... the SCUD. How glorious. Up, up, UP! Devastation on its way. To the heavens! Load the SCUD! High-explosive warhead in place. High-explosive missile ready.
