Thank you for this video!!!!! I made a 1970s 14ft jon boat with a 9.9merc into a little micro bass boat and have been really going back and and forth about taking it in the river to fish for pike north of black creek! i have fished black creek a lot for pike in my kayak but the river scares me a bit! This is the only video i found and was super helpful!!! Thank you much!
cool video john, i try and make a trip down the genesee river by kayak where i live from fillmore Ny to Portageville NY ending at the south end of letchworth state park
@@john.powers I apologise, I just couldn't and still cant figure out why a video of an RC Boat especially if someone's looking to buy one, to make it 4x the speed. If you needed more wind then by all means post them in the breeze that you had on the day? Does that make sense mate? Im not trying to be an arsehole...Just that there is so little footage of the Lazers here in WA. Please accept my apology.
@@Top-Jimmy Thanks. Apology accepted. Yes, there was very little breeze that day. It was our first day sailing the boats and we were trying to get a fleet together. We've raced them it a lot more wind since. Not all of this video is sped up, but I figured at the speeds we were really sailing it would have been super boring. Maybe I'm wrong. I need to stop racing and film a real race in a nice breeze, I guess.
John - Saw this and it reminded me of you - and know you are a Science and music guy. You will appreciate this... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4gibcRfp4zA.html Hope you and your family are all well.
Very nice! Great tune and you played it well, Thanks. Our town band went virtual for a holiday tune after not being able to play all Summer. We just really wanted to play as I am sure your band felt similar!!
Bravo! Excellent! Says Mike D (bass clarinet wannabee). And I say, thanks for NOT being sickeningly politically correct; glad to see you included the images of what Christmas and Adeste Fideles is all about!
Great job!! I'm impressed at how you've all overcome the hurdle that is social distancing to come together to bring everyone some joy and normalcy at Christmas time. Bravo to the wonderful musicians and the talented individual who compiled the video.
Sincere compliments and thanks to everyone who made this great performance of Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson possible. The Webster Village Band musicians are fantastic ! Best wishes for the coming year. - the Anderson family, Woodbury, Conn.
@@john.powers - I know your parents are serving in Haiti. Where do you, Phillip, Shelly, and Tracy all live now? Probably not still in the Rochester Area...
My parents live in Florida and travel to Haiti. Tracy and I still live in the Rochester area still. Phil is in Columbus. You were in California, I think, last I knew. What about your Tracy? Is your father still around?
@@john.powers father passed almost 2 years ago. Tracy is in Florida. I am still here in Sierra Vista AZ, retired from the Army in 2010 and stayed. I've only been back to Rochester a few times in the last 30 years. Wow.... We're getting old now John.
I have a strange question, but I had heard when tacking the JY, you have to pinch it to tack it. That seems counter intuitive, but since you are racing then, wanted to get your take.
