Ohhhhhh the “kids” I know are VERY much into this, especially anything anthropology “like”…..they definitely are into a mix of the new sleek and “less is more” but there is ALWAYS some stunning pieces thrown into their stark white homes….white, walls, white curtains, white cupboards etc etc and then as my eye travels around the new flat/home….there is ALWAYS some GORGEOUS piece such as this mirror or a dresser a lady on YT made that was an Anthro Insprired front two door “dresser” with a key lock and two handles that she used a ton of Molds as you did but hers were of forest animals such as rabbits and squirrels and Owls etc. as well as some gorgeous butterflies and dragon flies and ferns and flowers of course. She molded them right across the opening and applied them while they were still soft and then used dental floss to cut through the where the doors joined and then allowed it to dry over night and did the painting of the animals as realistic as possible and THEN antiqued them. The “dresser/cupboard” was already painted a beautiful Sage color in a chalk paint with minimal distressing and she had gold leafed the legs with small brass wheels on them which COULD have been original? But it was possibly THE most stunning piece I had EVER seen. After she was done she showed the actual Inspiration piece….and I was gobsmacked!!! The Inspo piece was originally $4800 CAD and her piece (NOT counting HOURS of course as how does one put a dollar figure on doing something you LOVE to do?) cost her less than $250 CAD total. She never did sell it and it is one of THOSE “pieces” that your eye sees the minute you walk in her home. IF or rather…WHEN I find that ever elusive type of dresser/cupboard to make that design, it is on my Bucket List to make. I still dream of it. I have it saved somewhere but it is stunning. I’m sure if you researched Anthro “Woodland Theme” Dresser, it must come up in images and hers wouldn’t be far behind the actual name brand one. SOOOO stunning. I can see WHY it cost that much in the brand name but the JOY it would bring to MAKE it with your bare hands…….PRICELESS. VERY VERY MUCH like your MIRROR………I already phoned my husband and told him the size of mirror I need for over an antique dresser that was my Grandmothers I am in the middle of refurnishing and then told him what size pine to mitre cut and put together for me. (He is the muscle….I am the creative brains LOL!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INSPIRING ME with this. Had I not seen it with my OWN EYES I never would have believed it was so AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!! ALL THE DIFFERENT Molds I can incorporate will be perfect……… I appreciate you so much.❤ PS: You Daughter WILL ask for that Mirror SOONER than you think…..taste changes but the love for a Mother only grows stronger and THAT mirror is a piece of YOU that she will cherish….wait and see. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am going to make a rose bowl.. but I am going to make the inside first.. let it dry.. then add the roses, leaves, and other decorative items to the outside..
You can’t be a profit in your own home love. It’s part of that woman thing I don’t really understand. I must tare it down if you do something I can’t do, and daughters can do it like a knife in the heart. I’m an Artist & Tailor and I was asked to make a ball gown for my daughter with 1 days notice. I worked until 3am. The gown was stunning. I’m in a heap of exhaustion and my daughter said I’ll have to do… She received so many compliments on her gown, saying my mother made it. You are so lucky they said… It was then she realised her mother designed made clothing for a living and I was brilliant. Her mind had made me a mother that made some cloths not fully understanding my skill. I’ve watched you and you are also brilliant. I see you. Karen ☺️💜💜💜💜
Hi Cheryl…I do hope your ok! You are such a miss on utube! I keep looking for you…but they are old videos, such as this one. You are such a lovely warm down to earth person! You have taught me so much, when I first attempted furniture flipping…especially the Anthropology clay moulding technique! I wish you well, & hope to see you back on utube in the near future… Take care lovely lady! & God bless!!! From one of your biggest fans! ❤️
I am so inspired by your video ❤️🔥 Right now I’m going to make a product list and keep rewatching this video until I finally make something. I’ve watched your video many times over the last couple years and I’m finally going to do the thing haha Thx for the inspiration 🙏🏽
Can you tell us how you put the frame togethor ? Did you make pocket holes ? And how did you attach the mirror without using a rabbit bit on the wood ? Cant find any tutorials. Your expertise is much needed.
I just discovered your channel today and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Every project inspires me. I'll spend my evening and the next few days binge watching so I can catch up. You're a delight❤
This came of just beautiful 😍❤️ I hope youre still creating and making anackng things because I see you haven't posted in a year. Your work is gorgeous and I hope your daughter grows to appreciate it all. My mom used to create lots of crafts and now that she's gone, I wish I had more of her masterpieces that she didn't sell.🥹 Your home also looks incredible with those huge rolling hills and big fields and the horse too!! Just so peaceful and serene. ❤😊
Thank you I hope so too but we have very different tastes. I’m still doing furniture just not posting but I think I’ve had long enough off so will be back soon
Hi no I didn’t list them they were all redesign with prima moulds I used about 7 different ones I applied the clay wet and attached it will gorilla wood glue
@@redesignwitheleanorfurnitu8576 she has some lovely moulds amongst other items, thank you for pointing me in the right direction I really appreciate it, this could get expensive lol xx
I have a couple of these little lamps in white, and was looking for a tutorial just like this one! I like how you show that you don’t need expensive “IOD” moulds to make castings with- the nice thing about using the off-brand kind is that you will be making something one-of-a-kind, and they are *much* less expensive. I like channels like yours where the RU-vidr thinks outside the box as to how to arrange the castings and using them to make something different, as you’ve done here. Can’t wait to get my new package of air dry clay opened up and get working. Thanks so much for the inspiration! I have subscribed to your channel, love. 💘
I would love to be crafting in a sunny place like that with a view out to the garden. It would be heavenly. I love the look of the roses but think it would work better with a rounded edge of a small shallow bowl, I'm sure these will work out. What does one use as a sealer? I think it would be lovely with a candle in it.
