Just got back from my abysmal Nuvia appointment. Do not be misled by all the farcical twenty four hour projections. My journey started in December of 2023 and continues on to this day with growing dissatisfaction and concerns. I was told that all that could be performed in twenty four hours was my bottom arch the top arch would have to be a temporary denture that would allow extra healing time for my top implants to take hold . I was just told in this previous appointment after five full months post surgery that my top arch will require an additional six days to fabricate ! After making the two hour drive for my final surgery i was informed that July would be the closest opening and that no surgery was actually taking place even after 5 full months since the initial surgery,all i am saying is take the Nuvia propaganda with a grain of salt. In the very beginning my experience was a perfectly seamless flow, all appointments were scheduled flawlessly ,that all changed about a month to two ago when the original front office staff of Bellevue Nuvia was exchanged for the current crop of rookie amateurs. My advice is find a different office besides Bellevue of Seattle or expect a sub par front office with lots of scheduling snags and frustration as well as conflicting misinformation and office manager fabrication.
Informative video ! I worry about needing dental implants in the future as I age because I'm on a biphosophonate for osteoporosis and osteopenia. I read too many scary things about (ONJ) osteocronosis of the jaw bone due to side effects of biphosophonates. I had a cracked front upper tooth that was saved with a crown, but a nerve in that tooth hasn't healed 2+ months after that procedure. Back to the dentist. 😞

I've had one dental implant due to resorption. I was in my 60's, and I did need a bone graft due to a large nerve being too close. I've never smoked, so no issue there, and I'm quite pleased with it. It feels indistinguishable from the rest of my teeth. But yeah, it wasn't cheap, so I hope I never need another one.

I am not sure what “shakey” means ! I will say my teeth were broken and ground down due to me grinding my teeth . I had rotted teeth that broke off at any given time. I hope you find solution- Godspeed
I really wanted to have this done they called me back right away I saw it online you look like exactly what I wanted but they wouldn't tell me how much so and I said that wasn't a problem I have cash let's do it in the morning is 100,000 enough to bring I mean just let me know let's do this can I have this done in the morning just tell me how much to bring they wouldn't tell me how much so I said keep your teeth exactly what I wanted I just wish he could have told me how much I already wanted to make the appointment just tell me how much to bring I have cash I don't need financing I want to do this but I guess I'll have to find somebody that can give me a quote and I wanted it done tomorrow so just tell me how much to bring and we're good thank you and have a great day❤🙏🏽❤️😁💜

No choice. If I don't get them ... bone loss and that is a very ugly thing. My face caving in shrinking jaw is not even a vanity issue as much as it is a spiritual slay.

Sweet man... right there with you! I'm 38 years old and am THAT patient at the dentist-- utterly terrified. Too big of a gap is why i dont think i want my permanent set of teeth installed in 24 hours. I am looking towards a procedure that puts a temporary set until everything is healed and not moving around. That way, they can fit my permanent set of teeth in a more comfortable, precise position.

Well, my dentist of 5 years is doing mine, I finally said let’s do this! I was just going to to have regular dentures on the top and implants on the bottom until they took the mouth reading type X-ray it’s the one that is like a wand for better words and they go all around the inside of your mouth, they found out I have a bony ridge on the roof of my mouth which makes it very difficult for good suctioning of the dentures and the assistant said well we can remove it and I’m thinking I’m having a local, no way are you chiseling away at the roof of my mouth AND pulling my teeth! So I spoke to my Doc and he said the other alternative is to get the implants up top also and the roof of my mouth won’t need the suction. So that’s what I’m doing. But I’m terrified but I also trust him 100% it doesn’t hurt that my daughter is an assistant 😂 Oh and if I freak they have gas, I hope I don’t freak. 😬

I didn't go to Nuvia but my experience getting implants has been pretty much the same as this guy. I also had several consultations before I decided on a dentist. The dentist I chose does EVERYTHING in-house. Because of that, it did bring the cost down. Don't get me wrong, it was still very expensive but I have NO regrets. I decided to see it as an investment into myself. At all of my consultations I asked how long these implants will last, I was told 45-50 years. I said, Great! I'll probably be dead by then lol So, if your thinking about it, I say go for it!
