Yes, Beltane Border Morris conceived the dance and this is how the dance was always performed. They stopped dancing it a year or two after this video was recorded (Bunkfest 2011 in Wallingford, Oxfordshire). One part of the dance that has survived is the 'Battle/Skirmish' figure which starts at 2 mins 20 secs which was used when their Huntress dance was altered probably around 2013ish as the second figure in that dance (cross sticks / skirmish / 3 tops). I think that it was felt that this dance had had its day and so was retired

HI Mark, The tune's a traditional one but Seth Lakeman recently included it on one of his album's. The tune's called 'White Hare.' We've adjusted the rhythm slightly to fit our style of dance. If you search from it here on RU-vid there's an album version and quite a good acoustic version

Yep it is sooooo cool swimming with that huge Whale Shark isn't it ? I love it too. Well I actually luv ALL the whales I come across :-) Btw I have a False killer whale as one of my 'partners'
