My efforts at model car building. I began building my first model in the spring of 2014 and was hooked. My preferences are cars and trucks, with character or personal interest, from the '20's to the '70's. I set up a bench in my garage in the summer but moved into the basement for the winter of 2015/16. I started my RU-vid channel in January 2015 and appreciate your comments. Very nice so far. I know how tempting it is to sometimes just use the primer coat as the base color. If it works, it works. very cool how that roof folds out like that. Very James Bondish!
@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage I had to carve about 1/8 in off of the side of the door panels and the top of the body shell. The body shell opening was too narrow to fit over the interior door panels. I haven't gotten to the bumpers yet, they may be an issue also.

@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage All I do is post my builds and comment on other's videos. Maybe you need to build something. It often depends on the subject matter also. I don't worry too much about the numbers, if people are interested they will watch.

@@ModelCarMinion I had a Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4,brand new in 88, it was black and pink was in at the time, had a pink cargo net, and light covers on the rollbar, it definitely pops on a black vehicle
@@ModelCarMinion We just had "Jeep Week" here a month or so ago. Literally thousands of customized Jeeps of all kinds on the streets!! Good bunch of people too. The last day of the festival, they drove the beach in-mass picking up trash and doing clean-up!
Our Michael's stores stopped selling models last year, I hope they do bring them back. This kit goes together very well, there is no engine and the frame has 5 screws to go into the chassis.
@@ModelCarMinion I did see the screws going into the chassis on the box side. I have a few of the Revell 1970's Jeep kits. Just hoping it's a new tool.
Thanks for watching and commenting, the body will (hopefully) be gloss black but the Rustoleum Gloss Black went on splotchy so I have to redo it with some other paint.
Interesting choice of colours. I guess the body itself will be a different colour as you did not paint it "Hot Pink" at the same time as the interior. I'm curious as to how that will turn out.
That's for sure, we didn't have the different glues or paints or access to all the online information available now. Also nice that others can see our builds, thanks for checking the video and commenting.
