Sasha knew what he was doing… having the set in 3 stages. 1/ Getting warmed up tunes (maybe with the help of a dove ☺️) building up to…. 2/ Then totally off your tits in heaven tunes And the final 3rd… mellow happy just enjoying the music Great 90s memories ❤
Mentioned below but if anyone has any recordings of DJs Starsky and Hutch on Don FM, let me know. Lost my favourite tape of one of their shows with MC OC a long time ago and on a lifelong mission to find it again.
It takes me back to Fever, Sunday Mass, and the AMAZING Ultraworld Events. I miss those days, dancing until the sun came up and readjusting the eyes while exiting the building because my pupils, for "unknown reasons" were incredibly large. Great times!
Purchased from Kaos records in Hanley back in the day, Still my all time fave tape. Eclipse club 29th March 1991. I made it my mission to get all the tracks. Took me years to buy every tune on vinyl including the grey vinyl of it's grim up north. Nice one Sasha.
I had a white covered tape wiv green graffix on, Called something along the lines of Sasha Summer Ball One Love. Everyone wanted to borrow it so taped it for a few. Think the tape vanished from my Car😏MF’s. Came across it For sure 91- Know this as I passed test 91. I’ve never been able to find a copy since. Brings back such memories. Going thru Motorway Tunnels standing out of sunroofs Holding a massive Bass Bin nearly having an Orgasmatronical reaction🔊 sound system Banging Awesome Driving Tunes Mesmerising Hahahhahhaaha🥰🔊🎧🥁💋 Luv luv luv it🤪
Two turntables and a amazing talent to mix music....no cheating with digital crap.you had to knw your onions and mix it.Respect to the original djs that made us dance through there talent of music....and coordination.🙏thankyou.
I remember the jingle that went "100 percent, back to back, in the mix, kiss...." Wow, Pete warden, Steve Jackson, The Judge, Seb Fontaine, Graham Gold, Andy Morris on a Thursday night was a must listen for me!!!!!!!!!
GOD BLESS THE UPLOADERS OF RU-vid... THE SIMPLICITY OF PEOPLE TAKING TIME OUT OF THEIR DAY TO DECIDE TO UPLOAD ARCHIVES STILL BLOWS MY MIND TIL THIS DAY.. *AS TIME PASSES BY...KEEP THE MUSIC ALIVE...*
Big up all the Essex hardcore crew. Music Power Ilford, Boogie Times Romford. Best days of my life. Got a few sets (and my own tunes) uploaded on my channel if anyone needs more to listen to. Keep it ardcore...
Breaks my heart listening to these tapes 💔 One because we have no pirate radio stations anymore AND two im old now and i wish i could go back 😢 Three the music is not as good nowadays and four the talent is watered down with every man and his dog playing on the Internet. The 90s and early 2000s were special and the Internet killed everything. I would love to go to the local record shop every week again but they are gone now put out of business by online shopping 😢 Please someone build a time machine 🙏
Mystery why this style of D&B was exchanged for liquid. Appreciate everything has to move forward but nothing today comes close to the overall experience of a set from Bukem in 93,94 and 95 to a point before it went too raga style for my taste.
This is the tape Terry G recorded off Logan in around 93 maybe 92? I have been trying to find it forever. It had DJ Nathan written on the original, whoever he was and if that was who actually mixed it we will never know. But this is the holy grail for me
Clicked the thumbnail thinking 'bet this is Vertigo' and it is. Hippy Pigs. I did a mix back in 1992 with stuff like Age of Love, Datura and Brothers Luv Dubs, on borrowed decks and put it about in my local area as Sasha and John Digweed via a mate called Stripe and his spacker brother Shane (that no one ever called Gizmo even tho he used to write that on walls everywhere). They would copy all the latest shit off me that my buddy Anthony and I would travel to get (original Grin promo tapes inc Vertigo, Tissera, Pezz and Mick Singh and Hardcore tape packs like Ellis Dee, Slipmatt and Easygroove) and people loved them. Stripe and Shane knew all the local clowns and passed them on, they filtered everywhere. I did it again in 1994 with shit like Punchanella, Mr Roy and The Peppermint Lounge on it and the response was the same. People are largely clueless. When it comes to music I don't listen to 'punters' because they're mugs. I used to study DJs and even copied Sasha's really bad wiki wa wa wa wik wik wa scratching on the mixes. Look at the state of the servile comments on here "oh Sasha you big ride, I love it when you touch my quivering pee pee with your progressive flute house, with Richard Clayderman piano and Enya singing..."
Strange to think that he played raves with mc considering how clinical it is now- hes still a master and amazing, i perfer his new stuff but its sooo long ago now. Fuck man what a time.
