Great video. I have the same engine on my LT40. I wonder why Kohler used the fuel shutoff selenoid? Is there some advantage to shut the engine down by cutting fuel vs cutting spark? Or maybe the spark is cut also?
@rachianohaselhoef1734 unfortunately no as it is high carbon spring steel and the act of leveling really needs to be concentrated to the highest singular point of the turnover. This saw was very bad needing 3rolls. Most usually need one roll in the center. I have seen a lot of people get great results just using a 3/8 wide roller bearing or preferably a 1/4 inch wide bearing set up in the same way as the stretcher rolls on my bench. Hope this helps
Exact problem on my new 12 hr lt50. Been trying to figure out what to do, called WM tech and no one ever mentioned to check this. They suggested soaping the belt. Da Will see if this is my problem.
Thanks for the video. Just bought a 2007 Lt 50 and watching videos to learn about maintenance and trouble shooting. I’ll be saving this video for later if I run into this problem.
Lt50 is an amazing machine! Happy sawing! If you have any problems or questions, or would like a quick video made on a specific issue, message here and I'll do my best to help out!
Owned and sawed with my LT40 super for about 24 years and just learned something on alignment with your movie clip. Thanks for sharing. The woodmizer is a wonderfully engineered piece of equipment. Very durable and easy to work on. My mill still performs very well and turns out precise lumber but I am thinking about trading up for a 50 just for the (I think) better log turning chain turner and I think a little better production speed (I am 74 and need all the help in the speed department I can get)! Still great fun getting out there and breaking out a nice red oak and the grain is always fun to see when you brush off the sawdust.
Thanks for the vid. Fired up my mill this morning to warm up. Went inside for a bit and came out to blue smoke comin' of the mill......................pretty sure the lifespan of the belt was cut in half.
Great explanation I have a used lt 40 that I must move and wanted a walkthrough for that. The mill was brought to me and I have never moved it as I cut in place. Thank you I subscribed.
