I would like to know if Nixon could start this why have so many presidents not been able to finish it? It is almost like you need racist religious bible thumping zealots to pass any laws in the U.S i think the United States should pay compensation to all people locked up from the drug war and I mean world wide not just in the U.S also any politicians alive who played a substational part should be jailed. I hate drugs but I don't hate the people who use them, I hate the monsters who used them as a weapon against the poor and disenfranchised! I worked as a drug and alcohol worker for over a decade.

ive corresponded with Jack quite a number of times. Very good man and if a any of you re wondering why LEAP changed its name. Let me must say he told me in confidence why and he had nothing to do with it and was against it. Its a shame because he and the other co-founders accomplished so much. and much of what Jack did was on his own time and dime.

LEAP needs a Social Media person, like a nephew, to make them a Facebook and Twitter campaign so people can actually hear the truth. No one knows cops even feel this way. It’s a tragedy these old boys don’t know how to reach the public!
He doesn't help his case when he blames white people and racism!....So how does he explain black cops arresting black people for drugs? This happens ALOT!...Are they just racist?...Come on!...I support LEAP but STOP blaming white people for everything!....A white person will get arrested for heroin if they are caught by the cops the same as a black person! I've seen it happen many times!
The problem isn't that they aren't arresting white people for drugs. The problem is that they specifically target non-white people due to prejudice against black people. And of course, a black cop would arrest a black person for drug-related crimes. If the black cop were to ignore a drug-related crime he could risk losing his job.

The reason why these facts and common sense and logical approach to this problem does not phase or touch a lot of people is because the vast majority that includes my former self is they are people that use drugs as not even human brings. They are not worhy of someone's compassion . they don't care of a drug user dies

This coincides with a Knoxville,Tn officer's 2016 comment on the news excitedly discussion on "finding and seizure of people pulled over for..? with large amounts of cash."He went to say,the last investigation just didn't have enough proof,this wasn't drug money.BUT,they now had enough seized cash,to finally build a K-9 facility.And,now they have,"Dragnet's" from Chattanooga and especially through to Atlanta,looking at drivers "eyes",red,dilated pupils! yes, I am not fond of these antics,because it takes away the huge problem of breaking and entering,murders,etc.yet,if you work,own very your home,and pay the highest taxes in the State of Tennessee. I would be called a drug addict if I was still taking prescribed Opioids,but that has become almost impossible since CDC,FDA,DEA,HHS, September,2016.My chronic pain issues can go away with exercise,yoga,therapy,because Univ./Michigan head of pain,says pain is very a brain disorder.Sorry, I hope I didn't get off topic,but I belong to many online pain support groups, and to essentially"Ban" DR's prescribing opioids,for chronic pain disease's I understand are incapacitating, and giving the DEA,power to make Keaton,(never tried,but millions claim keeps pain away,opioid cravings & alcohol withdrawal symptoms at bay, I can easily see why LEAP makes sense. I am joining as a Citizen who has seen Government officials go insane with ludicrous legislative laws and regulations that are guaranteed to backfire!
