Let's see what kind of trouble we get into today. Not that I'm looking for any. But with all the projects to get done, well one never knows what awaits. Buckle up. Woot!
This video cleared up a lot of questions I have for installing mine, but I still have more. Did you ever find a wiring diagram? I would love to find one.
Sorry I don't know about the demands that job would require for footwear. But the boot is very rugged and has great features. So I don't know why it wouldn't be a good boot for that type of work. Thanks for the comment.
Nice job. I just did the same. I don't like how crappy they build them. I used 2x2's and 2x4's. It's not expensive but sure time consuming rebuilding a cab over
Both of my offenders broke and fell off on the freeway as I was driving. I did not even know it luckily, they did not hit any cars behind me or bounce up into the windshield of oncoming traffic. It appears a lot of Harbor freight are not DOT approved roadworthy And it looks like a possible lawsuit or even fatality causing accident .
Hi, yeah that's not good. I can only imagine it happens often unfortunately. I was lucky to be close to home and going slow. Thanks for watching and the comment.
I'm here because one of my fenders broke off while driving on the highway, I guess. Good idea with adding the bracket. Are they covered by a HF warranty for replacement?
Thank you so much! I am in Maine too. Wicked good info here. I really did not want to install my filter system in the closet above the tank because my landlord insisted it could not be installed under the trailer due to freezing temps. I will be showing this video to him! Who knows maybe he will stop arguing with me when I say "It wouldn't be the first time its been done" Hahaha
Add my thanks to the list. Just finished putting on an entire new roof on a cab-over Class C and didn't know how I was going to deal with the corners. Thanks again. Subscribed too.
I have read that with plain aluminum (unfinished) the trim piece would be annealed at the bend sites, and pressed around the bend and screwed in place.
Thanks for the great vid. I am using galvanized pip to make a wheel chair for dog so it is strong. I bought a harbor freight die/tap set. Low and behold, 1/2 in galvanized pipe does not use a 1/2 die. A 7/8 was too big, a 3/4 is too small. Just to verify, the pipe set in your video, the 1/2 in is to cut 1/2 in pipe correct? Thanks again!
Hi, I have only tried to cut threads on black iron pipe with this harbor freight kit. And if I remember yes you are correct that 1/2" is for 1/2" pipe. Good luck with your project, sounds interesting. Thank you for watching and the comment.
Hi, thank you. I find it easier to push the caliper piston back in if I loosen the bleed bolt. The bleed bolt is easier to loosen while it's still bolted to the vehicle. A little grease behind the clips and pads is a good idea, thanks for watching and commenting.
Great videos, Tim!! Nothing like a Couple that Work Together and Get Things Done!! My wife and I are on our own Mudmixer adventure in Northern Nevada!!
Thank You! We enjoy getting things done together. Good luck on your adventures. I'm looking forward to making more mud. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Nice job on the stairs! Functional, practical, not overly complicated. When I get some time I'll catch up on the rest of your videos. I also have a Mahindra, but it is the 2538, and I have a chainsaw mill that I use which is fun to create your own lumber and beams. Keep up the good work. Thanks Tim.
I like where you are going with this. I have a similar problem so I'm interested to see what the finished product looks like and how the work. Thank you for making videos and sharing.
Thank you! They worked out great! Here's the video. Good luck with your setup. Thanks for watching and the comment. Here's the video of the completed stairs. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Og6xUMeNL8.htmlsi=6uCJEsAgvrNdHDn4
Thank you for sharing this! I'm new to the camper world and I've already got to replace the corner trim and your video helped me feel like I could do it 🙂
My MudMixer had design flaws too, I think the overall construction is solid, but at this price point- I was alittle disappointed being honest. I know their a young American company, which is why I live with it.
Outstanding! Exactly what I was hoping for! I'm retired and living in a travel trailer -- I think of myself as a kid living in a tree house with wheels. To maintain an RV, you really need to have a good-old-boy DIYer attitude and figure things out. This is especially true since the lightening and cheapening manufacturers adopted in 2012, then furthered during the pandemic have made older trailers worth maintaining and upgrading. Thanks!
Enjoyed your unboxing and assembly video. You may have figured it out already but I think your wheels are reversed. The grease zerks should be towards the inside giving you an inch or more of width for increased stability.
I thought that once the battery charger was plugged up, it ran constant until the batteries recharge and then shut itself off."smart charge" But it only runs with the generator or shore power. So I guess. I gotta hook up an inverter to do that kind of stuff , right
Hi, It's been a while since I did that job/video and I don't remember all the wiring. The camper is now covered for the winter so I can't get in to look at the wiring right now. I'll watch the video again and see if I can answer your question. Thanks
You ran a wire from your outlet to your braker is that for shore power ??? I've got a orange plugin with a triangle on it not sure what that means Someone done some work on mine befor I got it so it must've been unhooked by him didnt even tell me 🥵 neen a nightmare they didn't run the Jenny much at all 1059 hrs and its a 94 so l, also found a wire that has a tag on it from last owner saying for rear A/C whats your output on that
Hey quick Question so did you hook up you battery Charger / converter with the charger running asmuch as it wants when ever hook a wire to the white (one with blue comein from Charger) over to the braker. Shut it down with a quick putlet to the flip of a braker
Thanks for your demonstration and setting up the machine. I just bought one and I plan to put it together after new year’s. You’ve been very helpful. Happy holidays thanks 🙏
You two are radicals like Deanna and me!! Thanks for the video share of you using your MudMixer - we just got our unit a few weeks back! Footings - here we come!
thanks for the vid, I have to do this same project. I finally realized that all the sealants in the world are not going to do shit when applied without removing the molding first, and that butyl tape, not sealant, is the most appropriate material to use for this type of application. For the life of me I cant figure out why the rv manufacturers designed my rv using a corner molding that doesnt even have the channels to hold the stripping to cover the screws. And yes, that caused water leakage problems for me.
Hi, I agree with you, the poor factory design welcomes water in. It's only a matter of time. I triple sealed my seams. They always consider cost, but it didn't cost me much to build it so much better. Good luck with yours. Thanks for watching and the comment.
This is a great idea for slabs. I always thought about making some boxes but never liked the idea of nailing them. This is the best way I've seen. I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea. Have a great weekend Jerry
hi friend can you help me. I'm talking about Brazil, I need to buy one online, can you tell me how many centimeters the insole of this boot is. thank you very much
Hi, greatly appreciate your video and earnest attempts to explain clearly! I just bought a used Mahindra 2638 with loader and backhoe like yours. Now at 252 hours of which I have done the last 20+ hours since early June! Only problem was a leaking hydraulic hose which I had to remove and replace with the replacement the dealer supplied me! I had to replace a good amount of hydraulic fluid so I got very familiar with reading the fluid level eye glass. In your video, you demonstrate trying to see the fluid level from the right side, presumably because the location of the eye glass is to the right of the middle of the tractor and that makes some sense. But, as your video shows, you can barely see half of the eye glass even at the best of angle! I found that it is quite a bit easier to see from the left side of the tractor, but you do have to get down low, horizontal with the actual level of the eye glass! So much easier to see and read accurately because you have to make out the fluid level with respect to the red dot behind the glass window and it can be difficult due to lighting and any shadows especially with the clearness of the fluid! Not a huge suggestion but honestly makes it easier to check which I do frequently! Thanks!
Hi, thanks for the comment and watching the video. I have tried to look from both sides but with the backhoe I find it easiest to check from the right side. I can see it no problem. Thanks again and good luck with yours! I love ours.
I am installing this filter under my mobile home soon, and was concerned about freezing this winter. Im not in an area as cold as you, but I like your idea with the enclosed box and insulation. Thanks!
How reliable has the Mahindra been? Any issues? What was the cost of supplies to do the 500 hr service. I appreciate your video very informative. Not many videos on the Mahindra tractors so any info would be greatly appreciated. Again thank you.
Hi, thanks for the comment and for watching. I now have about 530 hours on the 2638 and I've had no major issues. My speakers blew and I had 1 line with a small leak. It's paid for itself with the work I've been able to get done.
Now that I have been wearing them for about 1 year I will do a follow up review. I agree, for the money it is a good quality product. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Thank you for a great video. I have never done this before, but unfortunately I have to. The pipe I need to thread is in the ground and vertical. I hope I'm able to get enough torque. It's gonna be a challenge to hold it from moving while I'm threading. I appreciate the clear demonstration of how to perform the procedure and how to use the toll properly.
Hi, thank you for the comment. Assuming the pipe you're working on is not too big, maybe you can have someone with a large pipe wrench hold the pipe for you? I've had to do that to a 1/2" pipe. Good luck.
Great idea. Mine came off the same way about 10 years ago. I still have them sitting around in case i ever decided to try and reattach them. I just recently replaced all the pressure treated wood on it. So i may use your idea. I see how it would solve the problem.
Hi, I have since put 2000+ miles since and they're still as sturdy as the day I made this video. Thanks for watching and the comment. Good luck with yours.
@@CDLuminous These are the jack stands I have. Thanks so much. My camper a very well maintained 1972 Frontier. It's perfect inside as it was kept in a garage during the winter. However there's some wood rot along the outer edge. I bought a marine product called git-rot which you inject by drilling half ince holes into the rotten wood. It kills the rot and hardens the wood. I'm hoping that will do the trick but I'll need to reattach the bottom seam and I'm not sure if I can drill into it. I also need to replace section of a support corner beam. I have a woodworker friend who will give me direction and step in when I need help. If we don't achieve the necessary stability and strngth in the corner then I'm going to need to consider those jacks but then I'll need to reinforce the bottom plywood. 🤔 Researching the git-rot now...
Thanks for the video. I'm going to try your method the next time I have to do any pipe threading. I just did a small job this past weekend and the threads worked, but they were a little on the rough side.
I like how your taking what you have and making it better. Single wide mobile home( it looks like), affordable tractor, old camper you rebuilt, property that isn't designed by a stupid HOA. Yeah man, i can dig what you're doing. Approximately what part of the country are you in?
Thank you. Probably the best comment and most observant comment I've ever received. You get it. Work with what you have. Thanks for watching and the comment. Southern Maine. For now.
@timsonthemove . I've got a double wide in Arizona. It's nice but very generic. I'm slowly getting the property kind of fixed up per me. By next summer I will be building a nice metal building. Anyway, keep at it, as I will also.
We could sure use the room of a double wide. We were in Arizona in 1983 the year we were married. So I could go to motorcycle school in Phoenix. That's a whole different story. Thanks for the comment.
