@td8552
@td8552 Месяц назад
@@charlesbatsold31 I can answer you that. Every bike can kill you if you behave like an idiot. Heck you can die if you fall out of your bed and land badly for example. Point is if you start out with a bike like the H2 you respect it more. You know what it is and what it can do. Sure with a less powerful bike you can pull the throttle to the maximum without having to fear to break speed limits. But eventually you can get too confident, too fearless. Which can be more dangerous when you switch to a more powerful bike. In short: with a smaller bike there´s more of a chance to become more reckless. With a higher powered bike you start having respect for what it is. And btw an idiot should never ride a bike no matter the age or cc. Have a nice day🙂

There is a low fuel light that comes on. My understanding is you have about 20 miles (32 km) after that comes on to refuel. I use my trip 1 and reset it every time I fill up. I know I am getting low after 75-80 miles (120-130 km) of riding. Its always a guessing game.

Nice one! I would appreciate it if you could share some opinions about the following questions. 1. Is V4 more than enough in terms of daily commute? V4S seems to have a better break system and suspension, but also comes with a higher price. So.... 2. I heard there's no fuel gauge on it, does it bother you sometimes? 3. Would you recommend this to a beginner? Thank you :D
@CerealCityGarage
@CerealCityGarage 10 месяцев назад
1. Ive never been on a V4S but, Ive also never felt like I was lacking anything on the V4. So my opinion is if you are using it as a street bike get the v4. If you are using it as a track bike get the V4S. 2. That is correct there is no fuel gauge. Doesn't bother me as much as I thought because I just reset my trip when I fuel up. After 2 or 3 tanks you learn how many miles you typical get before the fuel light comes on. 3. I personally would NOT recommend to a beginner. Yes it has low power mode but we all know sticking to riding in that mode isn't as easy as it sounds. The V2 is a better beginner option if you must have a ducati streetfighter.

@@CerealCityGarage I agree with your thoughts about starting with a V2. (I am also considering 765 RS) Thanks for your reply. Helps a lot 😊
@Pheil
@Pheil 10 месяцев назад
1. V4 is more than enough in terms of daily commute. The V4 is actually the better track bike than the S, the soft suspension on the S isn't great for heavier set riders but works great for street damping. The brakes are identical. 2. No fuel gauge is no issue, I typically fill up when the light gets on but have run it 30mi or so with the fuel light on. 3. As a first bike? No. As a second bike? Sure, for someone who knows how to respect the throttle and their life. Electronics will keep slide/lift in check, but it's easy to pick up too much speed for a corner. Disagree with OP on the v2 being a better bike for a beginner, it's still 155hp. Skip the v2 for the V4, it's a comfier and easier to ride bike.
@drgunit893

Fellow MI sfv4 owner. 2023, also from Ducati Detroit, with 2500 miles so far. Only issue I had was that (sub 600 miles) the stock exhaust butterfly actuator/cable was out of adjustment in 2nd gear only. No power above 5k in second which was very odd. Fixed under warranty during the 600mi service. One thing I do like about the 2023 is, despite there still being no fuel gauge, there is an automatic fuel trip odometer that pops up on the display when the low fuel light comes on. However, I've never been able to put more than 3.3 gallons in the tank, even after the light has been on for 10-15 miles. I think the light is a bit preemptive, but thats better than overly optimistic I guess. Not sure if the pre-23 bikes have that, but I hear so many people complaining about the lack of fuel gauge; that auto trip odometer somewhat makes up for it. Thanks for the vid. Maybe we'll run into each other.
@CerealCityGarage
@CerealCityGarage 11 месяцев назад
