" how are they in 2024......" literally the exact same as they were 11 ++years ago........... and truly becoming outdated inside... economy is fine but you are ram jammed on overbooked flights like cattle on a cargo plane. Their business class is the oldest and worst in their fleet compared to the business class on the A380 ... where as their ultra old A380 that goes DXB to YYZ has the absolute worst first class in their fleet ..is insanely worse than other a380s that go from DXB to BKK...... but their Game Changer 777 is the only first class that beats them all and its so hard to narrow down where they fly. They fly to one place in the US that isn't popular at all I forget the airport... and they fly somewhere in Europe with one too ... over all an interior OVERHALL needs to be done in my eyes.. retrofit them all or I can't wait for the order that was placed last year (2023) for the new ones to come. I hope they all look like the premium econo - that should be the basic.. and move upward from there with all first class having gamechanger suits and all business class be individual seats not the 2-4-2 or whatever horrible configurations are on the 777s
I agree Emirates are in desperate need of a new business class and it outdated and I feel bas for passengers who pay $$$$ for a medicore cabin. However, Emirates doesn't need to worry about having a good business class as they have a fantastic first class and premium economy too and their frequent flyer passengers love their business class and won't fly with another airline in most cases. At the end of the day it's a business and I can't blame them but for us passengers it's bad. Overall, i have flown with them over 9 times and their economy class is one of the best in the world however their business class is overpriced for what it currently is.
In some aspects yes I agree, but the turkish airlines a350 economy class cabin beats the emirates 777 that's for sure in terms of legroom and comfort. 3-3-3 vs 3-4-3 and legroom is noticeably different as I have flown on both airlines in multiple aircrafts. However though, soon emirates will have their own brand new a350's and that will be a great bonus to their fleet. At the end of the day, both airlines have superior economy class products to european airlines that's for sure.
My flight got changed from an a350 to a b777 but that b777 was a plane that was rented from emirates it had the old emirates livery it was supposed to get delivered to indigo but Turkish airlines and indigo collaboration will end soon so Turkish airlines is only using it for domestic routes
Didn't know emirates leased some of their 777's to Turkish, quite interesting. Defo a downgrade though, I hope you can fly on their a350 in the near future :)
@@chucklesomeaviationthey actually rented it from another airline I don’t remember the name of it had the old livery so it was an old emirates b777 so another airline rented it from emirates then Turkish got its hands on it hope to fly on the A350 soon
@@Cqnr.k ahh okay, that's intresting to know anyway as a person who loves aviation. i hope you're having a great week so far and wish you a good rest of your week as well!
funny thing is i was on the same route tk1986 but my flight got changed last minute from an a350 to an a330,i was very disappointed, but its good to see you giving a flight tour
Sorry for that and thank you! Equipment swaps are annoying and they are common on Turkish Airlines & Qatar Airways as they have so much aircraft types. Same thing happened to me on my recent TK Flight to London, it got changed from a 777 to A321Neo.
I agree, the 787 is very tight on Turkish Airlines especially, the A350 is hands down their best aircraft to fly on in terms of comfort / legroom / modern cabin etc.
Yes but I only used the free messaging which is only available for passengers who sign up to their miles & smiles loyalty program. I didn't pay for any wifi as I didn't need it but I did use the messaging :) Have a great Trip and subscribe for more honest reviews!
Hello Kelsie! Sorry I can't remember as this was from 2 years ago but it was a window seat in the far mid section of the plane towards the back on the left :)
This one was a 8/10 but i flew 4 more with Emirates so overall a 9/10. In terms of baggage yes they are! I had to pay for being just 2kg over... and also at the gate they gate checked my small hand luggage due to full flight (not this flight on the 777 but on the a380 was it was fully packed and no space for hand luggage). Wasn't too bad though and they didn't lose my bags at the end of the day and flights, planes & seat was comfortable and smooth so complaints except minor issues.
Very nice to hear that you also flew A6-EOB!! I'm finally going to post today done with college exams and all and have a lot of content filmed form the past 9 months and so ready to share with fellow avgeeks :)
This is how flying is done in asia / middle east / africa and i wish we had this in Europe / America where we get no service in Economy Class. Maybe water and a small snack if we are lucky for all flights under 4 hours.
I'm flying on Turkish Airlines from SIN to IST to LGW in December. Already bought tix as December is super peak for Singapore. Flight TK209 > 10hrs plus.
@@theswede5402 > a good noise cancelling headphones (I will listen to relaxing music); bring your own neck pillow or small pillow, a water tumbler…then pray you get good seatmates. Keep yourself hydrated & stretch your legs
Agreed, this is why I flew on Turkish Airlines instead of BA on the London to Cairo route but to be fair EgyptAir uses a widebody plane and serves a hot meal on the nonstop flight to Cairo as well.
@@chucklesomeaviation yes they do a nice meal service on EgyptAir to be fair. Although I have found the service provided by many of the air stewards to be seriously lacking. Racing through the plane with the tea and coffee pot and only stopping for those that saw them in time to be flagged down. Another abrasive steward dropped a very heavy item on my head and didn't even apologise. My chair was also broken one way and on the return leg I was a given a different (and worse) seat than the one I was assigned, separating my from my children. I'd fly EgyptAir at a push but from now on its TA for me only.
I pre-ordered a vegetarian meal on this flight as I personally don't like the eggs airlines serve on planes for breakfast. Just make sure you pre-order at least 24h before departure :)
Nope they only serve water and a small packet of crisps. They don't serve full meals on flights as far as Cairo even which is almost 5 hours. This is why I prefer flying other airlines instead of European Airlines + they are the same price.
@@chucklesomeaviation > BA don't serve food on 4-5hr flights?? In Asia, unless it's budget flights, full service flights serve one meal, even if it's a simple one. Took a flight pre-COVID on SilkAir to Bandung, we had a full meal onboard.
@@nur_aryani Yep that is the norm for European airlines sadly no meal service on flights as far as for example, london to cairo. that's why i would fly egyptair or turkish airlines or emirates or etihad or asian carriers from my home. Subscribe for more flight reviews:)
Hi ZRH, I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes 2 very nice cities indeed. I'll be back on this channel very soon I have lots of new content filmed just need to edit and get them out :)
They fly these big planes from IST to LHR for cargo capacity. This, the 777, 787 and A330 all get shunted for this route. Bottom of the plane is usually rammed full with fresh fruit and veg, seafood from the Aegean Sea and spices
Yes, but there is a charge for seat selection, unless you do it when online check-in opens 48h before flight where the seat you want might be taken already if it's a full flight.
Hi Ali, if it is the A350 scheduled for your flight then it would be the same seat configuration as this video (3-3-3) and it goes the same for the Boeing 777 and Boeing 787. The seat config would also be 3-3-3.
I was scheduled to fly on their 787 last week but it got changed to the 777 (which I haven't reviewed yet). Boeing 777-300ER & new A330 review will come out very soon. I'll try to fly their 787 another time because every time I try to it gets changed to another plane lol.
Yes they mainly use for long-haul destinations but they also fly the a350 sometimes to London, Paris, Amsterdam and Budapest. Same with the 787 & 777 but the a350 is less common these days :)
