As the universal reference for saxophones and clarinets, Henri SELMER Paris has been accompanying music lovers from around the world for over a hundred years, providing mythical models that have shaped the sound of generations of musicians.
Founded in 1885 in Paris’s Montmartre district by the clarinetist Henri Selmer, the brand draws upon the expertise of musicians to design, innovate and improve its range of instruments. Henri SELMER Paris also owes its success to the precious savoir-faire of the artisans at its Mantes-la-Ville workshops, where all the instruments have been made for over a century.
Always attentive and at the service of instrumentalists, SELMER aspires to free the creative breath within every musician, no matter their musical genre and their needs.
Thank you Fabian for your hard work and dedication in producing these beautiful saxophones I first heard a Selmer saxophone when my clarinet teacher, the late James Joseph played me his in the fifties and that special sound stuck in my head. I have several Selmer products which are unique. God bless you and yours Fabian you have a great team. Bill. Uk 🎷🎷🎷
Merci Beauvoir. Elliot. You are doing a great job working for the number one saxophone company company in the world. I hope to visit you sometime in the future. May God bless you, yours and your colleagues at Selmer Paris. 🎷🎷🎷
Great horn. I bought one years ago for a school I was teaching at in the Uk. I don’t know where it is now! Selmer horns are just the best. Thanks for your video. God bless. Bill. Uk
Ps Focus arrived today from Selmer Paris beautifully packaged. Articulation is fantastic! Works well on R 13 as well as Selmer clarinets. Give it a try. Concept a bit more open. Bill. Uk
Thank you Wesley for your playing this wonderful new clarinet. Looking forward to trying it! All the Selmer clarinets have their own distinctive sounds. And thank you too Stephan. The Evolution technology sounds a great idea. Selmer are a great innovative company producing great clarinets as well as saxophones. God bless you both and all at Selmer! Bill. Uk 🎶🎶🎶
Thank you for your video expressing your love for the instrument. I have not yet tried The Muse. It sounds great. The correction key sounds a great idea. Top line German clarinets have done so for many years, so it is nice to see Selmer bring out that key tool. There are now four distinct clarinets by Selmer which will appeal to different players. God bless you. Bill. Uk
Thank you for this lovely video. Selmer make superb clarinets and accessories. Wishing you much success with your playing. God bless you and yours. Bill. Uk
Yet to see this fabulous clarinet. I love the idea of the correction key for the low F especially on the A clarinet. All the Selmer models have a distinctive tone colour of there own and the new Selmer mouthpieces are fabulous. Thank you for this video. God bless you all at Selmer. Bill. Uk 🎷🎶🎹
Hi Jenny great that your encouraging people to try “the mechanicals pig squeal”- sorry about the bad joke. You look as though you have the new Selmer Muse e flat. It sounds great as does the older Recital e flat by Selmer. Some people might like to play on a shortened B flat Reed. I do as well as a regular e flat Reed and there’s also synthetic reeds. Thank you for this encouraging video. God bless you. Bill. Uk🎶🇺🇸🇬🇧
Nothing to say about the instrument, but the price. I can get a five digit here in Italy american engraved for 6.000 euros and i should spend for something less 12.000? Bring prices to reality!
I've said this before: I really believe he is a once-in-a-generation talent. It's almost scary to think what he will be able to accomplish with the saxophone.
Thanks for the video. I'm a C Melody 1923 Martins + 2023 Thomman player. If there exist a new Selmer C soprano, I'm pretty sure I'll buy one. And sure I will not be alone. Time has changed. Pianists like me who play saxophone for fun is not rare in 2024. So make a market study and go create a new one 😂. I'm interested ❤ Regards
For me this is the first new Selmer tenor with a great tone for jazz, that Selmer have produced over the last 50 years. It's a great choice for cats doing ten thousand dollar jazz gigs.
I’m fortunate to own one. The issue I’m having is trying to find another case for it. The original case isn’t going to last much longer. It looks like I will have to get a custom case made, which is going to be expensive.
