What is the AIR CUT-OFF VALVE on the carburetor for (i.a. VTX 1300)? A vaccum hose is connected to its output. How does it work? In my case, when the vaccum hose was disconnected, the exhaust pipes were poping (afterfire) during the deceleration.

But they're both variable venturi style carbs....no pilot jets in the butterfly style made by SU.... SU carbs are single circuit carb...
