This is where my local history videos live so they can be easily shared. It’s also a place for family members to find footage from old VHS tapes found in the attic!

I did my boyfriend’s ancestry and he’s the 4th great-grandson of David Imes!

My mother, who I saw was mentioned along with local artists, knew him. He would occasionally host painting parties out at his home for the local Art League.

Jess... thank you and the JC Historical Society for your wonderful work on this project. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the paintings, and, of course, the ones I shared with you. For your information, I would add just one small correction... he had a 1940 Ford car instead of a truck; I vividly recall him parking at the end of our driveway as he proceeded to paint Lehman's (McCullough's) Bridge. He would pull the paints, easel and a folding stool out of the trunk and paint away; often he wore a beret as he painted.

@@donswartz8175 oh shoot! I wrote that down wrong when you were describing it to me. Thanks for the correction, and contribution of your paintings! So glad you enjoyed the video!

Thanks for sharing this. My Grandfather was Jesse Imes, son of Wilson Imes. He settled in Clinton County sometime in the mid '40s.
