Is your homasote board super hard? I tried to follow this tutorial more or less but without something softer to go in front of the homasote I am finding it impossible to stick anything into it without predrilling or using my tiny hammer and good quality pins. I was disappointed to see how hard it was but had already purchased so resorting to mostly using washi tape and leaving a few pins/hooks and suck in place. I would definitely recommend using something softer for anyone who is going to try this. Maybe a foam board in front of the board would do the trick or even mdf would probably be easier to puncture. They still came out looking great though so thanks for the inspo.
