Truly breathtaking work, the ancestors woukd display with pride, however brother didnt ur father ever tell u that for a man to show his feet is the highest gay there is?? Like its second only to wearing flip flops or taking a dick in the butt, any man who shows his toes/feet looks like a dog when playing with another more dominant dog and they get a lil to rough so the dog rolls over and shiws his belly to the dominant dog, in humans the men go barefoot around the man who isnt the thats how u can tell
-after all that shite thats been pured out lately, i truly appreciate what vikings was. Even after Ragnar died, we had to accustom to how different the series felt. Maybe we weren't happy about it, but damn looking back i still see its quality and a genuine plan. And most of all they managed to bring it to a fitting conclusion. Where do you get that nowadays?
What a peaceful scene to end the chaotic series! I just finished it for the first time and binged watched the whole thing in the past two weeks. What a rollercoaster! I have to admit I was sad seeing Ivar die. Never thought I’d say that. But he had his moments. Just think how powerful of an army they could have been with all of Ragnar’s sons on the same side. That would have been amazing. I think Lagertha’s send off to Valhalla was the most emotional for me. She really was the greatest shield maiden. Ragnar’s death speech was the best and Bjorn had the most epic death.
Big missed opportunity... they could have had an interchange between all Lodbroks with changing camera angles and then just Floki left alone. Would have loved that.
Dude went zen, which is not unheard of for aging people prone to reflection. The current zeitgeist is definitely some kind of anti zen. Mind-constructs rule all now, but the truth of it is of that it's nothing more than collective narcissism.
! major mistake in this scene that always troubles me; its a sunset and not a sunrise. Eastcoast on America where the vikings landed gets a sunrise. (sun rises in the east).
I love this ending... Floki and Ubbe, sitting on a beautiful beach, somewhere in modern day Newfoundland, reminiscing about the past and about life. This is how you fucking end a show.
I just imagine, after all the things Floki has done in the name of his gods, has seen done in the name of his gods, of all the things done to him in the name of others' gods, and indeed living by a faith that told him that to die in battle was the most important thing he could do, Floki got to the end of his life and had no thoughts about gods or the afterlife he'd lived his whole life striving to serve. He doesn't know or even care if there are gods around him or an afterlife. His faith is completely destroyed, and a lot of faithful people he knew are gone, and he's simply carrying on, waiting for the end. Of all the people in the show from the beginning, he was probably the last one you might think would die in bed, and all the causes he served are gone. And only now has he truly found peace.
@@GavTatu they were pagans.....and refused Jesus Christ.....they worshipped brutal pagan gods.....they practised human sacrifice......reason enough to loose your soul....
Ragnar would have been fine had he killed rollo and killed Floki after having him build ships and planting someone to learn his methods before killing him.
I'm glad Ubba fulfilled Tagnars dream but the only thing I didn't like is that he abandoned Björn during his time of need when Ivar and the Rus attacked I believe Björn would've lived if Ubba stuck around until they Killed Ivar but I guess he did what he had to do he didn't wanna fight anymore but still He could've saved Björn
To me Bjorn was always the version of Ragnar that became king and never got addicted to drugs and ubbe was the farmer version who never left farm to go and fight haraldson
