Brill cars but plaque with probs had one got the st 220 bullit proof dif car all together plus great sound of the v6 if you get a custom built exhaust from elite customs Heathfield ayr
You need to remove the Ford badge first then basically use a big screw driver to break the original mechanism/white plastic bit. Once you have cleared the debris, you can use a long screwdriver essentially as a key to unlock the bonnet. Hope you get it sorted 👍
Hi there. I have a very rare and exotic Renault Megane MK1 coupe. It is the only 1.6 sport Alize left on the road. It has a stonking 110BHP. If you have experience of such rare classics then you are more than welcome to review it.
Hi James. Nice car and a nice colour, my favourite. I remember seeing one of these in my local Ford dealer when they came out new. Out of my reach at the time. But now I'm in an RS. Very much enjoying your videos, and it's nice to see some local roads too with an RS on them !! 😊
@CarswithJamesMosley Hi James. Yes, I am local to Dorset. I have seen a Performance Blue like yours, so there is a chance you may have seen a Nitrous Blue 😃
Nic Jupp has broken plenty of these Clubsports and can verify there is no weight difference and these have exactly the same amount of sound deadening as a normal E46…infact these could be a tad heavier with that spoiler…. Should be picking one up in the next week exactly like this one 😎
Looked into these about 6 - 7 years ago, a LHD spec though. There used to be quite a bit more available back then. Just did another search on the webs. 0 for sale atm. Guessing most of them spend their time locked away in a garage as an investment rather than being driven these days. They weren't crazy exp. 6 - 7 years ago either. Like 20k eur for a good low milage well maintained example and some less fortunate ones for as low as 6k. Sure missed the boat on that one. Beauty of a car mate, enjoy.
I actually own a mk3 pre st model on an o4 plate currently has 145.000 on the clock and recently had a new clutch and duel mass flywheel its in exceptional condition for its and I can't fault it
After watching this video I thought it was strange that my RS MK2 doesn't have a camera. It was not mentioned in the English brochure (printed in December 2008). After some research I found out that the Focus produced from March 2, 2009 had a camera, the Focus until March 1 did not have a camera. my RS was produced in January 2009 (number 55 of 11500).
I still prefer the 997 over new gen 911's, even though its not the fastest 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds is still quick enough but I would Tune the ECU to stage 1, upgrade headers, downpipe, full Borla exhaust system, K&N intake, Coilovers & Strut bars
i DID daily mine a white rs with dynamica, cobra exhaust. but i wont daily it this summer, tryna keep it for the weekend, and only for summers ofcourse aint no point driving this is winter it wont get any grip anyway
Hey I have been looking at rs where the door handle and rear boot trim is unpainted.. is that original? It is in Denmark so maybe the package are not the same.. hope you can help
Certainly in the UK that is not original, and I’m fairly sure it was the same everywhere for those bits. Door handles and boot trim would be body coloured originally like mine. I have seen some people have them painted black though when they modify them. Hope that helps.
This car was sold in Spain for more than 100 units, and of course throughout Europe. It is a special edition because many gypsies damaged them or did not maintain them correctly and there are hardly any left
Hi my name is paul ,live in Minnesota, was watching this video of your rs,lovely car ,I kept thinking to myself that it looked like you were near where I lived in the uk ,broadstone ,Poole ,great to see that you were
Hi mate did you find the Kenwood unit sits right back from the facia? I have one and the facia doesn’t fit over the head unit it’s about 2mm to small to fit over. I have to use the little adapter around the head unit to fill in the gaps. It’s about 8mm recessed not the best look but unless I trim the facia 1mm each side that’s how it sits. Cheers
I had to take it in and out a few times to get a decent fit, and change the screw holes that the fascia is bolted to on the stereo. That seemed to do the trick and I’m fairly happy with the fit now. Which fascia did you go for?
@@CarswithJamesMosley I’m Australia and used aerpro pretty much same as yours Looks like to me may be the bolt holes on the brackets to the stereo need to be modified may be either drill more holes or just one cut out of about 20mm as I’ve only got 1 hole in the brackets. It either sits to far back and has a 5mm gap from stereo to facia or to far forward and the carbon surround then won’t fit as it’s siting to far forward
@@adyg8221 Ahh that's a bit of a pain. I guess it wouldn't hurt to drill some additional holes in the bracket for the fascia. They're only plastic so should be nice and easy! I'm on Instagram so feel free to message me on there if you need any other advice mate. Hope you get it sorted!
Bought a 2002 ST220 Wagon 3 years ago, as I wanted the sound, exhaust, seats and everything around and there never was a ST TDCI in Germany But the wagon is a bit more even in numbers to the saloons here, because my countrymen dont buy saloon style cars only wagons :D
2.5L should make 500hp or even more, with the right mods of course.. is there like something that makes that not possible due to engine design or something? Fiesta ST can make about 330hp reliably if done right but it's only a 1.6.. just asking as I'm thinking of buying a mk2 RS..
Fairly straightforward, the wiring loom was already behind the glovebox, and was then a case of coding with ELM config. I already had the microphone built in as my lux 2 had voice control.
@@CarswithJamesMosleyFord actually referred to the front passenger & driver heated seats in these and the Ghia X & Titanium X models as Climate Seats, as they have both heating & cooling functions as standard At first glance I’m guessing this could perhaps be understood as dual zone? As an optional extra this was available for the rear passenger seats also.
The thing with a car like this is it's an 80% car. You get 80% of the M3 itch with 80% less expense. It's cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, probably cheaper on fuel and is going to be much cheaper to maintain, because it's 'just' a BMW, not an M-Car. Which means things like servicing is going to be so much cheaper. But then I keep eyeing ClubSport's on places like AutoTrader so I think it may be that I want one so am using a bit of copium to justify it over an M3. Although to be honest, a budget-M3 doesn't sound like a bad thing.
Sounds about right, but I definitely think it feels a bit more special than a normal 330ci, just not M3 special. Good to have the rarity factor either way 👍
@@gavinfraser3520 not 100 percent sure but I would imagine so. If you sent me a photo of the connector I could probably tell you. I'd imagine worst case scenario would be a simple adapter lead though.
@@gavinfraser3520 You'll need a Fakra adaptor to SMA (most likely) or SMB, but the amplifier on the Ford aerial is powered via the Sony stereo and that power is still required. All is not lost as you can buy an adaptor that is powered for this purpose and hopefully that will be fine, some aftermarket stereos have the option to power the aerial, well my Pioneer does.
Nice guide, I wrote a guide to do this on the FocusRSOC forum, I fitted one of the android units that comes with their own facia. I’m going to take it out in favour of a double din pioneer stereo. Good to watch your video as it answered a few questions I had. If you want a black climate unit the one from the CMax has the correct logos on it (the mk3 Focus doesn’t) and swapping the cases over is very easy.
Thanks mate, I'm sure I must have come across your guide when researching this. One of the topics on this helped me with figuring out the correct part number for the climate control, so that may have been yours 👍 how come you're thinking of changing the android unit?
@@CarswithJamesMosley a couple of reasons, the facia doesn’t fit very well as both the climate module and stereo are only fitted to it rather than the dash, so it’s not a very good fit at the top. Most importantly, the stereo does things ok, but not perfectly, the dab is awful. I used a dab splitter like you as I had the auto dab system fitted to the orginal stereo and it’s dab was fine, I think the Chinese dab receivers are a problem as it didn’t work very well on the splitter or the screen aerial (I won’t cut the cars roof to fit a different external aerial). Oh….and I took the pioneer stereo out of another car, so what else was I to do with it? 🤣
@@CarswithJamesMosleytoday I fitted a pioneer stereo in place of the Android system. Much better and smoother, plus fits very well, all the wiring is a pain, but got it tucked away in the end.
