Thank you for this podcast and instead of preaching what most Christian pastors preach and not being open to looking past that due to fear of judgment and instead keeping it real and preaching from the heart and letting people know suicide won't condemn them to hell and that believers do die in sin all the time bc that is true! It's also true that no one wants to hear that gods love is limited in those deep dark moments like you said! God is working through you and your honesty and openness is a blessing! The traditional pastors would be scared to say such things even tho they know there's truth to the fact that suicide doesn't condemn you to hell and god also doesn't respect their cowardice behavior and good does respect your brave behavior and preaching on the truth regardless of how the traditionalist may judge it! Thank you for this video and for your work! God Is truly working through your heart courageously with honesty for the purpose of helping people and with love and compassion! God bless!

I think some of this shows a lack of balance in the character of God. By the way I am definitely not charismatic or a Hillsonger at all and have never been. But I will 100% say though is of course I have been a victim. We are all victim of all sorts of pain and suffering and horror. Do you know why? Because we are victims of perpetrators. And we victimise as perpetrators. The moment we try to shame people for their trauma, by calling them victims in that derogatory way rather than victims in a validating way, we actually undermine this and the sin that has been committed to them. Let alone being victims of all sorts of terrible circumstances. Jesus Christ was very compassionate to people who are victims of other people and of circumstance. He also warned us not to be perpetrators that victimised others. I get incredible therapeutic help from reading help Job and the psalmists and others felt victimised by life. It means that I know that is the God of the Bible promises, all my tears are stored away and each one of them will be wiped from my eyes and I will be seen, I will be heard, I will be loved and I will be healed. Nope not now always - mostly in Eternity. And he puts that upon the me to do the good works prepared in advance for me to do, see hear (within reason - please patients, be considerate of your doctors time and energy) love and heal others. No I don’t believe in miraculous supernatural healing but I’m a doctor and I’m also loving person. I’m also a terribly sinful person. Both a hand in hand. Never ever ever condemn someone for being a victim. That language Shows lack of sanctification into compassion and empathy. Shows much work to do still in the character of the person who claims that God has redeemed them into a life of love. Isn’t it wonderful that Jesus Christ didn’t execute a sentence against the woman caught in adultery? Or against Peter when he was spreading wrong doctrine and going back to Judaism? Isn’t it fantastic that instead, he gives us opportunity after opportunity to redeem ourselves. But then again compassion empathy and humility have been what I have been able to transform into. An unrepentant evil and hardened heart - a sociopathic criminal - may not be able to respond to chance after chance but a wise and careful person can act like Jesus did and see who was a real evil ones - those who accuse the “woman caught in adulterer” or the accusers. This man’s heart needs a little more work.

Couldn't you please consider putting The Gospel according to Hillsong up on You Tube? That would be helpful. Jesus says, wich kind of worshippers our Father seeks..

I thank my Lord in heaven this only has 83 views so far. You would never say to someone with cancer that their illness has a spiritual component. Or would you? It's vain teachings like these that drive the people who need church the most away from it. To tell someone their deep depression is unresolved issue or sin is reckless and could be considered cruel. True depression is often a physical manifestation of a chemical imbalance and could signal a health issue that should receive medical attention. And if schizophrenia isn't treated with medications, it will only get worse over time. I think it's important you repent of your reckless and I would say uninformed and unloving "ministry". This is not Biblical teaching.

Hillsong and Bethel - it is not only the leadership which is the problem - it is what they preach and also what they DO NOT Preach.

What comfort for those family members and friends of Christians who have committed suicide. Thank you for taking the time to take on these questions!

Another excellent podcast. I like the explanation of both topics, but was particularly interested in the suicide question. I have know of people who committed suicide and never had good teaching on the topic until now.
