My name is Greg ( The Travelling Social Worker in Thailand - TTSWThailand ) travel vlogs & Vlogs on Life in Thailand with my Thai Wife Ann. I believe you have to live your dreams and not just dream them, embrace life and keep a positive mind and not stress about the things you cannot control. People will judge you regardless what you do in life the good and the bad choices, so my view is just focus on your goals, your dreams and doing what makes you happy.

Fun fact: hard rock chiang mai has a Metal band called Black hawk rock band And it starts at 9 pm to 11pm aslo It's only on Thursday and monday amd the band is great
It’s a beautiful area and there is also a waterfall near by the village. There is also a fork in the road going up the mountains. On the right of the fork is this village and on the left side of the fork there is other restaurants and cafe and resorts and at top of the mountain there is a cafe wrapped around a large tree looking over the mountains. I put the link of my video if that in the description 😁
No 7-11s? Are you sure? Maybe you didn't look hard enough...😂😂 I lived in Chiang Mai for 3 years... I never made it up there, and I wish I had! Looks awesome...
Yes I know right I am shocked even in Mon Jam on the mountains there is 7/11 😂😂 . Maybe they just say that and have it hidden somewhere 😂 oh Mae On District does have some nice escapes.
@@michaelh8167 Really good to know, yeah western food here sometimes can be similar prices to overseas if you goto the more up market ribs. I personally prefer to marinate my own, leave them marinated for 24 hours and cook them over hot coals for several hours.
@@thetravellingsocialworker I just heard your interview in another RU-vid channel...which led me to your channel and I also sent you an email. 👍🏽 -Chiang Mai newbie
It’s a couple of months people often wear masks like during Covid times. Some retired expats go travelling to different parts of Thailand or Asia or a lot stay inside during this time. I have a air purifier as well in the house
Chiang Mai’s cultural tapestry is truly fascinating! The blend of Buddhism, Shamanism, and rich local legends creates such a unique experience. Thanks for sharing these insights; it’s a reminder of how diverse and vibrant our world is! 🌏🙏
Yes I did not know what I was actually watching until my wife explained it all to me, so I researched it more to try and understand the story. Culture is more diverse then I think people realize in Thailand
Yes we are both relaxed, it's actually a pretty good bar that one, and they had live music and it was by the river. Defiantly worth a visit if your in Chiang Mai
Thanks yes it was a nice night out and the rest of the weekend was good too. Though I Friday night I had no idea what they were singing as it was all in Thai 😂
This project is sold out, but the company has multiple projects around Chiang Mai I understand. But remember as westerners we cannot own house and land, but can buy it with our Thai partners and then lease hold it for 30 years. You can buy and own condos though.
@@thetravellingsocialworker thanks for the feedback. I’ll look at there other projects. I already own a property around Pattaya. I’m looking for a second place up around Chiang Mai for part of the year.
@johnherd2108 Would you like me to get the name of the company doing developments or a contact for you from my partner and leave it here for you in comments? There is alot of good projects going around Chiang Mai but what I have noticed is for new house and land, and its very small land they are between 3-4 Million Baht for 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom double story type houses if that gives you some ideas. Of course it also depends if you want to be close to town centre or on the outskirts that also impacts on price. With all our upgrades to the house the property will end up costing us about 4 million Baht, but it can be cheaper if you go with the basic designs. And even seen smaller properties alot cheaper. I would also say the builders and also the developers seem to be doing a pretty good job on all their projects. I know they have started a new one near Mae Hia. Though my concern is whether it is other the flight path where they are building as my wife pointed out it's at the Mae Hia Intersection near the Big C down from the airport.
@@thetravellingsocialworker He is near the beaches and city as well. Lots of people out walking all the time it seems. He must like it a lot and cannot be persuaded to return to Colorado 🍒🍒
Congratulations guys. Brings back memories. Had a chaotic day. The translator ditched us and then we were told that our papers were not in order. Went to another office and they found everything in order. One of my wife's colleague who was heavily pregnant at that time stepped in as the translator. Was flying back next day as well. Congratulations again 🎉
Thankyou. Sounds like you had abit of a ride getting married. I am lucky I live here and can take my time. I am happy I paid a visa company to do all the paperwork for me as it saved me alot of time, and they were there supporting us the whole way. I am happy we went to Mae Rim District Office as well as it was quite empty inside and they were very fast and efficient. Even Ann said to me just pay for a service to sort it out for us, as even though she thought she could do it herself, she felt the local government office can be complex to deal with at times. Everything went through smoothly with no complications.
