Wish I had time for that trip to the Twisted Sisters. I've had a pin on my map for a few years now . I was close in 2014 didn't know about it back then. Texas has a lot of cool places to see and I want to see them. @DeBa1226 Thank you for all the great comments and encouragement . ( well that was a big word Lol !!! )
Brother, great to see you still out getting thru the gears! Been trying to catch up on my videos, life gets in the way at times, too much on my plate. The bike and your full load, packing job is outstanding. Nice work!
Awesome video, great editing👍 I live about 45min from Beech Bend & try and make most all of the events held there. It is a historical place for sure! I also am a new subscriber! Always safe travels to you✌️
Welcome @dickymiller43 I'm glad you liked the video. It's a great time and seeing friends. Come look for us next year. We just got back from this year's event. Our camp is down in the bottom next to the road that goes to the river. Shiny side up and dirty side down 🤘🏻
Oh buddy this video hit home! Love this piece, ridden all over this area, Salida, Poncha Springs, Indy Pass, Aspen, Carbondale, Basalt, Hotchkiss, and on and on. Never get tired on those old trails surrounded by the Rockies. Brother, you’re doin it right; riding in the purest form. Your videos are outstanding!
Brother, great to see you back out on the trail throwing miles down! Great video, epic location to ride to, and the digs to stay on the water! Really good stuff, welcome back vlogging. Looking forward to your next drop!
@@hookstravels you do you brother, and we’ll continue to enjoy each drop of throwing down the miles, when you can. Love your content, enjoy the summer riding and be safe out there!
My brother and I took a trip to Bay Minette today and while we stopped in Brewton to stretch our legs you walked over and spoke to us. It was great meeting you and sharing conversation for a few minutes. Hope to see some more content.
Working on another run of videos now . I'm also working on one explaining ?? my absence. @paulperrigo3517 thanks for wanting more of my content . It keeps me motivated !!! Videos some.
Really like your style of videos without the poetry, photos of food etc., your videos make us feel like we are on the bike. Well done and thanks for taking us along.
Every summer on our way to summer camp, I bring the scouts there. We hike down to our secret swimming hole and spend the day. The exciting hike down bewilders the new scouts and their parents. They can't stop looking at the rocks and scenery. At the end of the day everyone hikes back. New scouts go back the way we came, I take the older scouts on a different trail out. We all meet up at the overlook and head to dinner.
That is AWESOME !!! I was also in the scouts . My dad was a scout leader in the early 60's. His troop did cool things like that . Keep up the good work brother !
Good stuff brother! Always great to treat yourself to a break, get out in nature with the dog and enjoy some nice walks amongst this beautiful landscape we’re blessed to have. Breaks are great to keep things fresh, enjoyable, not work. It’s no race, you want to enjoy the journey. Your content is exceptional buddy; sure appreciate it!
So glad to see this stretch! I’ve covered just about every corner of Colorado and everything in between EXCEPT the iconic Wolf Creek Pass. Don’t know how I continued to miss it, or riding thru Pagosa Springs to get there; missed it all. This stretch looked incredible, that river chasing right along the highway. Think the next time I ride into Colorado, I’ve got to cover Wolf Creek Pass, then get north to ride Trail Ridge Road, which I haven’t been on since I was a kid on a family vacation. Then I think I’ve covered it all. Thanks for giving me a peek at what I have to look forward to!
Oh man, Telly to Cortez all 78 miles of it, just a beautiful ride! Rico, along the Delores River, haven’t been thru there since ‘16 but you’re giving me reason to ride out that whole loop again…Cortez to Durango to Ridgway to Telly and back to Cortez! Can’t wait for the next video brother!
Five weeks ago we took 191 south out of Moab and got on 90 east into Colorado then 145 at Naturita and stayed on it to Cortez. Not much traffic and a great ride that day. Lone Cone mountain was off in the distance. Lizard Head Pass was good. We like your videos because you ride much, talk little. Good job Hook.
Man I love this stretch between Telly and Ridgway! I’m always going the other direction it seems, but there’s little, that’s more beautiful than riding into Downtown Telluride surrounded by those San Juan Mountains! We had breakfast at the Lodge at Mountain Park Village in Telluride, rolled out on a sleepy, quiet, brisk morning heading to Ridgway, just road calm taking it all in, nobody on the road, stopped in Ridgway and one buddy said, “That was one of the best stretches I’ve ever ridden”. By the way, I really like how you pause the video at key points to let us read a sign as to where you are, what highway, how far, so to really place ourself on the ride, and to note the trail, should we find ourselves riding in the area. Nice work buddy!!
Buddy, your video of these rides is outstanding; I feel I’m right there riding along with you. Never get tired of this riding content. Makes me want to drop what I’m doing, saddle and go ride!
Brother you’re on a roll and doing this better than most. Your camera quality is so spot on, great choice of music each clip, you ride at a calm controlled pace one can really take in the views, feel the road, in no hurry. Your choices to ride are exceptional. Always looking forward to your next drop; where you’re riding to next. Im sure all the editing is very time consuming, but I really appreciate your content.@@hookstravels
