Armed with endless energy and probable ADHD, Derrick has had a crack at most things. From exploring a career as an aerobics instructor whilst in medical school (a failed attempt) to organising hip hop parties, promoting artists as a music manager, motivating and educating as a professional speaker, hosting as a Radio DJ / TV Host to most recently founding Superfly Monkey Dragons - a parkour academy and agency sharing his love of movement.
It may all seem random, but there is a common thread through most of his endeavours - an inner desire to explore human potential through mind and movement and a passion to empower, entertain and move people.
Tune in as Derrick explores wellness, human potential and how technology can help us do all this easier, faster and better!
Depends on the treatment area, but usually about 10min per session/day for smaller areas, about 5 sessions a week. For bigger areas, could be up to 2-3 x 10min sessions per day. with 1 -2 days off per week. The flex beam comes with some pretty detailed instructions depending on the purpose and area of the body.
Do you have slower paced runners, love the concept but just recovering from knee surgery and finally could get some distance without any pain. Would love to join someday soon for a run.
@@DavidLaubner when I ran I think most of the regular (non fast peeps) ran around 6-7.30min/km. Great you are running pain free! Take it easy as I’ve often overdone it and paid the price 🤪
Thanks for your review! Imo review is missing key features for digital nomads. Like: Does the panel support Power pass through? Does it need extrernal power to get to full brightness and/or full 120hz?
I’m about 70% and it’s been 5 months since my injury. Maybe I’ll try this out. What strength exercises are you doing to strengthen it? My doctor didn’t recommend hand therapy :/
Hi there , just realised my reply didn't get posted! anwyay i didn't use any specific exericses it was more about wearing the wrist widget pretty much 24/7 and then periodically testing the integrity of the joint by loading it. managed to get to about 80% doing this, and then the red light managed to improve it to about 95-99%. Then i just plan to load it more gradually through both endurance and weight on exercises like push ups. let me know how you go!
@@DerrickSiuI injured my tfcc 3 months ago. It’s self diagnosed but all my symptoms point towards tfcc. Anyways, it’s healed a decent amount. I’m able to do pushups with little pain, and it doesn’t hurt much in general. However, it’s still not 100% as certain things hurt it, mainly supination and pronation. Also I wear the wrist widget everyday. My ulnar bone is still noticeably larger than my other wrist though which is weird

@@PPSChadwick actually I wasn’t doing anything specific for strengthening - mostly avoiding anything that made it painful and just wearing the wrist widget most of the time which healed it to like 80-90%. Yeah let me know how it goes - important to use the right dosage and up to 5x/week with days off I believe.
good question, probably via HDMI if your DSLR has that, and it might have more to do with the settings of your specific DSLR - so I would check that :)
Hey thanks for visiting, I'm pretty sure it isn't through my own testing of using the device for various injuries, there's also a bunch of research you can find out about this kind of therapy - encourage you to do your own research. (I included a link to some of the earlier research I found online in the description. There are also many other brands that make such devices. . this is just the first one I was exposed to - I just happened to be in the same city they were made so grabbed this one, which is quite convenient to use especially on larger body part areas.
@@MarioCalzadaMusic 2 good places - A - the link shared in the description - bit.ly/3iZnUy7 on the flexbeam website there is a tab for scientific studies - click there they have a bunch of links to check out , other than that I just googled red light therapy studies :) oh one other thing that convinced me it worked, was once i had pain in both my calves from running, then one day I only treated one side and forgot to treat the other side, the next day, there was a noticiable difference between the discomfort / pain i experienced. Good luck! - also check out the wrist widget if you haven't already.
@@DerrickSiu Any YT Channel that wants to remind us of their continuously growing impact, e.g. Ocean Conservation Namibia (OCN) could maintain a count of all the Seal Rescues that they have done this year. In an election year we can think of many ‘accumulators’ such as $$$ raised over some time period. Of course, any counter could be made to count down as well, like the counters displayed in the TV Series “The 3 Body Problem”. If your channel could ‘Copyright’ your algorithm and code then you could offer it to other Channels, but Google is not known for its generosity. Good Luck and ‘May the Sophons’ be with You !’ …
@@DerrickSiu … I do NOT see my previous reply here, but the short answer is any accumulator for any YT channel. For example OCN (Ocean Conservatory Namibia) can display how many Seal Rescues this Year. Good Luck and “May the ‘Sophons’ be with You” ! …
This is the most detailed software review I’ve ever seen of this product, it's really helpful for someone like me who is considering buying this keyboard, thanks a lot!
I just wanted to know how to actually connect it to my phone :-( but you skipped that bit so I guess it is painfully obvious to everyone except me :-( Sad Mel noises :-(
hi @meldabella1459, yes you are right I did miss that. but its a similar process, instead of what I show in the video for the computer, you open your phones blutooth settings, Long press F1, F2 or F3 and wait for the keyboard to appear before clicking on it on the phone to connect. hope this helps!
Proper self reflection. Keep going. It is like learning to drive - there are good days and there are bad days. We cannot always perform at our best. Persistence is key. Failure is part of the process. Also, i like the short format - few minutes max , social media incl youtube is not helpful.
sorry i'm not sure, haven't looked at these for quite some time, there are essentially only a few key projectors that are rebranded by many different companies.
yes generally the cheaper projectors will not work in daylight, as you need very strong light to project to compete against the strong light of the sun.
hello - its about 90%, i'm will be focusing on strengthening exercises over the next month or so to hopefully get it back to near 100%. thanks for asking!
### List of Critiques **1. Daddy Issues** **2. Attention-Seeking Behavior** **3. Compulsive Disorder** **4. Compulsive Lying** **5. Self-Centered Conversations** --- 1. **Daddy Issues**: Using your unresolved issues to justify behavior is a form of deflection. It prevents you from taking responsibility for your actions and moving forward. You need to address these issues head-on, possibly with professional help, rather than letting them define you. 2. **Attention-Seeking Behavior**: Constantly seeking attention makes interactions superficial and self-centered, alienating people and undermining genuine connections. Strive for balance by developing self-esteem, finding value in yourself beyond others' validation, and showing genuine interest in others. 3. **Compulsive Disorder**: Compulsions can be debilitating, but using them as an excuse for irresponsible behavior isn't acceptable. Seek proper treatment and coping mechanisms to manage your compulsions more effectively. 4. **Compulsive Lying**: Lying, whether compulsive or not, destroys trust. It's a damaging behavior that requires immediate attention. Address this with professional help to build more honest and trustworthy relationships. 5. **Self-Centered Conversations**: Dominating conversations with talk about yourself is off-putting. It makes you seem uninterested in others. Practice active listening and show genuine curiosity about others' lives.
