It never came back. Lol the engine runs perfect. Everyone I have built so far runs great and has never had any problems. Long as the people are smart, take care of them and change the oil and don't overrev them when they're cold. They'll last the rest of their life most likely.
you have to match up the right size amp to the speaker you are pushing. look at the RMS of the speaker so say its 1000 RMS. 750watts would be ok just don't clip the amp if the compression lights come on you need to turn down the amp Clipping makes distortion. Distortion fry's speakers. also make sure the OHMs are right . Don't bridge the amp it will over heat long term. just because you can bridge the amp to get more power doesn't mean it can handle it long term. if you run one channel per speaker and don't clip it by over driving it. set the amp volume at max then control the out put with a cross over and eq . I have a pair of SP18s when i need a little more power i set them up send the sub signal in to this amp i link the two channels so its not bridged it works fine. i know that's a lot but you need to make sure the speaker can take it. the amp is the right size and the ohms are right. don't just plug 4 boxes together and think it will work Read about OHMS its important
@@mkaneyou can run a 20kW amp on a 1000W sub if you keep the power output within spec of the subs by properly setting gain or a dsp (to limit the output to the speaker) never hurts to oversize an amp unless you're gonna feed it too much power and/or distortion or clipping i'm running a NU3000 (actually 2000-2400W rms) on a single 600W 12" sub bridged @ 4 ohm, so long as i don't push it further than the third indicator light befofe the clip light (when that just starts to come on, it's at about approx half voltage output, which means 1/4th power output) the sub has no issue taking that daily
She took my breath away that night. For a moment I forgot that anything outside of that room mattered. In that moment I was right where I was supposed to be. She's amazing. I drove across the state of Iowa , flew to Los Vegas, drove from Vegas to LA then up to hacienda heights. Getting to sing with her and see her sing that night was worth every mile. After meeting her California didn't see that far away. :)
The only thing difference between an FC engine and a car engine is a location of the dipstick tube I have four of them. 300 bucks a piece if you want to buy them. They all need to be rebuilt. If you want to rebuilt engine, send me a message
@@mkane They are the same as far as C.I. & being a Corvair engine, But that's were it ends .The FC's engines had better exhaust valves, & valve rotators, & a lowered compression, & larger Jets for a richer fuel mixture from the carbs. Source for info is from Corvanatics . I'm not looking for any parts for my 64 FC Greenbrier deluxe; I do have the correct, & optional 110 HP FC 164 C.I.engine with the correct filler tube . I just like the original design of the access panel to check your oil; Or your belt if you had a load on the on top engine access panel; It is a well thought out design, & purpose IMHO. I do like the sound your engine.
The subs are the powered subs by sound Town. And they're pretty freaking cool for how small and cheap they are. They are super lightweight. Not much to them. They sound great. They do dump subs frequency out the back plus the front which is nice when you're in a smaller setup because you get a little bit of low in coming back at you. Those upper cabinets are old PVs with Eminence 12-in speakers PV10s and little piso tweeters those speakers were being powered by a Behringer 3000 watt amp
I just also ordered a pair of non-powered upper sound Town speakers. They have for 5-in speakers with one tweeter in the middle. I haven't tested them yet but I'll put them on my page as soon as I get a place where I can use them
@@aphexish I've never used their amplifiers. I know that the Behringer class d amplifiers are tanks, meaning you can beat them and beat them and beat them and they do not falter. I would recommend Barringer amps if you're looking at a power amp, but the sound town stuff it's good for small venues. Small gigs. We use them and a full band show. If you go onto my RU-vid page and look for the show at rumors, it's a tiny little venue about the size of a oversized two star garage. I mean I think the whole building is like 25 by 30 or something. They filled that . Great for a little acoustic shows or small venues
you will need all the metal that goes around the engine. the motor mount and the bell housing if its and automatic your new engine came from a Manuel you have to take the pilot bushing out. you will need the gas feed linkage. basically every thing that's bolted on the 60 engine will need to be transferred over. just get rid of the generator and the carbs you will also not need the 60 fan use the newer design and you will need choke rods from the carbs. the heater is different too. you should use the lower covers from a 61 and up so that the engine will warm up right. having the lower shrouding from a 61-69 and the rear doors will balance out the engines heat when its cold out. upgrading to any thing is better then the 60. even if you rebuilt the 0 engine and put 102 or 64 110 heads on it. that would be a huge difference in power

I'm in the process of buying 4 corvair's myself. I can't wait to tinker with them. 1 is a rampside truck. Another one is a corvair spyder. The spyder is the top pick for me. All 4 vehicles are all original and complete. They have been garage kept for the past 30+ years. So they're really solid.

Most likely someone came up. The ramp ran into the semi truck and he lost control and smacked it into the bridge. Either way it's pretty bad everybody's in a hurry to get somewhere and nobody wants to pay attention to what's going on. No wants to leave space between each other. If you speed over a distance of 20 mi then get into bumper to bumper in town traffic. You will still get to the same location at the same time. If you were driving the speed limit the whole way. There is no reason to drive super fast and tailgate each other. You know I trains are efficient because trains are all connected together. They leave at the same time and they arrive at the same time. This was just sad to see. But the only reason I posted the video was so that others can see What can happen when you cut someone off?. And how important it is to say goodbye each morning when you leave for work because you don't know what's going to happen. Life is short
What type of carbs. are you running for now ? Without the turbo set up ! Are they 2 single or 2 , 2 barrel carbs.? Nice 65 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa 180 Turbo . Thanks for the video.

@@ACF6180T the high-rise intakes are nice but then the problem you run into is you got to equalize the pressure you have to make your own linkage, heat riser tube,. It's easiest just to convert it back over to carburetors you'll need a gas feed linkage and carburetor linkage and carburetors I took the big crankcase ventilation tube that comes off the right head and just piped it up to my air cleaner box you have to cap off the hole where the exhaust goes you have to take the tea out of the fuel line for the return line cap that off. You'll have to reset your timing best to find a distributor for a 110 engine also different advancing plates.
A car from my old state of Iowa! Never saw a Corvair driving around when I lived there. I take that back Richard LInd in Ames had his high school car when I worked at the same company.
Well, I have 28 engines in my garage which represented 28 corvairs that used to roll around Iowa. Hahaha there's probably about a hundred I'm guessing in the state left on the road there's probably only three of us that drive them on a daily basis
