Hi Mariah! We’ve watched your channel for more than a couple of months and we have fallen in love with Utah. We are seriously considering moving but it won’t be for some time as our daughter loves school here in Florida. In the meantime, we are familiarizing ourselves with the various areas in Utah Valley. Lehi is one of our favorites thus far. We plan to visit for Christmas this year and in June to visit the Parade of Homes. We’d love to connect with you at some point as we value your knowledge. We stalk your channel😂

Heber city is the most overrated city in America. It is a magical bubble where the city planners of zoning offices think it's really funny to build houses over every square inch of available land. Why is that a problem? Because they won't build any infrastructure to support it, aside from restaurants and grocery stores. The dwindling middle class is being replaced by Californians and other rich yuppies that make it hard for even Taco Bell or Walgreens to stay open. Anyone considered "poor" are now confined to a couple small trailer parks and hidden apartment complexes. All the other apartments you can see from the main road cost 2k+ a month. There is absolutely zero things to do besides a run down bowling alley and recreational activities. That means everyday of summer at the nearby reservoirs are crowded with literally thousands of people now. The police here are overzealous, liars, bias, racist, corrupt and if you get on their bad side, you'll suddenly find yourself running into them often. Hebers most renowned quality is the ability for every single restaurant to overcharge and give only half the portions the price demands. The magic is people being ok with it and going back for more, it's really fascinating and should be studied. Lastly, is the traffic. Again, they have shoved so many people in this valley now that the only main streets are flooded throughout most of the day, even more so than SLC roads. It's so bad the city have been debating about stealing land from the locals in order to build a bypass road that would split the valley in half. This is one of the most overrated, corrupt, soulless, overcrowded and useless cities in America... but people keep moving here. I guess looking outside to a pretty sunset with mountains is worth living in a nothing town like Heber to some. Source: Me. 24 years living in the ups and downs of everything mentioned. Watching this quiet mountain town transform into a Park City wannabe dumping ground for the rich.
@livinginslc Looks like if you don't have a million dollars+ you can't get even a half acre anywhere in Utah that's not the middle of nowhere. 😔 Sadly that knocks the whole state out of the running for me. Bummer.

This is a beautiful home! All the details are amazing! 🤩 However, I’m wondering how many of y’all out there would actually dream of having a house this big!? 🤯 Or are there more people out there who prefer much smaller homes even if they could afford one like this? 🤷🏻♀️
Thinking of moving to Utah from CA....obviously why I'm here. I've heard the following are good zips to live in: 84401, 84414, and 84403. I'm interested in a place to raise middle/high schoolers, hope to have good activities available (jiu jitsu, ice skating, etc). Thoughts? Thanks
