Yes walking is good for health and everything but if you want to catch the fish you might need one of those snowmobiles or four wheeler to get you across the lake.
Good video, a lot of thought went into your sled. I especially like the wheels. I’m a XC skier and so many RU-vid videos guys are using skis, but they don’t consider how easily they can be damaged and create a lot of extra drag. 👍👍
Good for when you can drive to the lake, but too wide to take on a bush trail. I would have to take the whole section off that the black sled sits on and tow the sled directly behind the rest of the home made section.
Nice sled. Can see alot of thought & time in it. Too bad wouldn't work for me though. Is good to get family/kids outdoors (especially the little/younger ones. As well as others am curious to know more details on wheels/setup & how it works. Also a bit confused/lost on what a toolie is?
I like it! Lots of thought put into the design. Is there a reason for the blue? What was the approximate cost of this build? Have you done any modification since you built this?
I really like the way you do the rails! It looks like you have over engendered the whole thing but then I remembered that you are bringing the family so you are bringing the comfort needed for quality family time. Cheers and thanks for the inspiration.
Wow what a great sled design that is by far the most elaborate sled i have ever seen alot of thought went it to that and i hope you get out there on the ice and enjoy it
Fantastic!.....how much does that all weigh?...i did the same with the wheels on my smitty sled and made a fold out clam style cover with retractable poles.
Thanks for taking the time to do the video, Nicolas. Cool sled. I'll be using some of your ideas when I build mine. Great to see your getting the family involved. The kids will have many great memories ice fishing with Dad! I have young kids so I understand how important it is to take a lot of stuff to keep them comfortable. Otherwise they won't want to go. Best of luck!
Nicolas what a great Smitty sled. Hope you don't mind but will definitely be using your idea. Very interested in seeing this in use but more interested in the way you mounted the wheels and how they work.
