Aang killing Ozai isn't murder. Murder is the unlawful and unjustified killing of someone. As Avatar Aang had the moral authority to execute the sentence and after all the Crimes Ozai perpetrated it was completely justified. Infact Aang sparing Ozai wasn't mercy it was a massive injustice to all of Ozai's victims because Aang refused to perform his duty.
Imo Roselia's Six Trillion Years is too much. Its like a 14 yo pretending to be a rockstar in their room. I know the song is meant to be intense but Ichika and Miku have the og instrumental, which is much less cluttered and chaotic than Roselia's. The Roselia instrumental almost irritates me because it distracts from the vocals, which are amazing.
I’m glad I found this video cause I never played these games outside of the demo of “thieves in time” I think so I’ve always wanted to learn about Carmelita. Thx for the video in helping me understand her. Not sure if anything may have been misinterpreted or what but I’ll take your word on her character in this video. The Series was unnecessary. I'll admit I liked the First season Especially when the Main Villain is Voiced by Steve Blum but after that I decided to end it like that.
I agree that it would have been more interesting if the Beast was someone she knew, like a classmate, or the kid her mom saved. Is it a big coincidence? Yes. Is this movie celebrating fairy tales, the genre of coincidence? Also yes.

The decision to bring back Gilbert hits me extra hard as a girl who lost her dad at a young age. Before he died, I was scared and thought I'd die too if he died (he was extremely ill so we saw it coming). I couldn't fathom a world without him. Then he died, and I was in shock obviously. For years I was traumatized by the loss. But then I grew and overcame the loss. I had my grief journey and even thought it was painful, I'm glad I had this grief journey, one I could learn from and not be just broken by. The anime did this. It was beautiful. It depicted the process of grief so well. But the movie disrespects all that process. Most people who lost someone to death won't see that person reappear after they have grieved them. My father didn't and won't reappear. When people are gone, they're gone for good. But the people who made the movie act as if it's impossible to survive after someone's death. As if the only possibility of Violet being happy is by removing the very cause of her trauma. How disrespectful is it, to all of us who overcame grief. The worst part is that now fans are spewing the same discourse. "Violet needed Gilbert to have a happy ending". No she didn't. The fact of life is that you don't "need" anyone to stay alive. They die and next day you wake up and realize your body is still working, your heart still beating, your lungs still breathing. You will be sad and grieving and lonely and angry... but you will survive. In short, it pisses me off the carelessness and disrespect grief was treated with. And don't start me on why a father figure becoming romantically involved with the girl he named and raised is sick.
What the TTS writers fucked up is how they wrote Varian to be more interesting and attention drawing than the Main Character, I mean people let's be honest 30-40% of the TTS fanbase is filled with people who were like moths to a light(Varian)
Honestly, as a Roselia fan, im mixed about the movies, on one hand, im glad my favorite story arc in the whole franchise got animated, but on the other it feels like a missed opportunity since a lot of the best beats of their journey towards Future World FES got rushed and on top of that they made a lot of weird choices where a bunch of really important moments got gutted out or turned into flashbacks.
I feel the same. Honestly, maybe if they tried just making one movie about Roselia’s origin that was around 2 hours it would have been better than making two 1 hour movies about the band’s entire journey?
@@0calliestar0 Personally i would 've gone with a Trilogy if the idea was to adapt the entire Journey but your idea of a fully fleshed out Origin Story under the same time frame is also a good alternative.
I can understand on some level being upset that your birth mother chose another kid over you, that’s a primal thing that’s to be expected after experiencing childhood trauma. But Cass is mature enough and has known Rapunzel long enough to realize that the only one to blame is Gothel. It’s not an unrealistic feeling but the show established that Cass is smart enough to know that feeling has no basis in reality
The level design was a dead giveaway for Penelope as well. Same sky color and feel. If I were to remake Sly 4… Penelope would have disappeared because she was kidnapped. We literally already have betrayal from Dr. M. I’d completely rewrite her to you know… her original Sly 3 self 🤷🏿♂️ see, I think the Black Knight should have actually been an old enemy of Penelope. The Cooper tie in was just a means to an end
I don’t think she was obsessed with Gilbert or struggled to socialize with her peers. She wrote some letters to him, and he crossed her mind every day, and she visited his mother’s grave once a month. This doesn’t seem regressed at all, she still writes letters for people and making an impact on the people she writes letters for. Her compassion is seen when she writes it for the dying kid.
I understand that.🙂 I've never thought about that. 😀I guess the problem with Gothel was repetitive. I was also surprised by the ending. Rapunzel and Cassandra moved on with their lives easily. The ending happened fast. But overall, I think the entire story was really great!! 🥰😀😃😄🙂🙃
I’m not finished with it yet, but I’m reading a fanfiction called “Beyond Corona’s Walls” by SpaceButterflies that adds Varian into season 2. Yes, we lose his villain arc, but the way that Cass is done in the season 3 rewrite (so far) is significantly better.
As for someone who isn't a big fan of Roselia I do agree that they are really overrated cause that's what they really are I mean just because they are overrated doesn't mean they really suck but they are just overhyped and let me share my reason for my rational dislike or you could call it hatred if you will but I don't hate them as a band nor the musicians and seiyuu behind them but here's the thing though their fans, not all are delusional as f^^k that they elevate them to god status despite their average skills and I think I've said it multiple times that if you actually examine most of Roselia songs they are just power chords with fewer chord progression and eight note bassline they are just good at production and layering and not to mention their music is safe and don't take risk and don't experiment that much and to think that they are technical and near professional just like how they are portrayed in the series is such a big mistake and most likely influenced by their lack of knowledge when it comes to music. I'd be honest with you I still prefer Roselia in its original lineup with Lisa's original seiyuu and bassist Yurishii (Endō Yurika) and Rinko's original seiyuu and Keyboardist Akeko (Akesaka Satomi) and for sure Fire Bird and other singles come after it sounds much better if they still have them. Still, you know life is such a b!tch, and health reasons forced them to step down, I have nothing against the ones who replaced them in the band Yuki and Kanon since they've stayed longer in Roselia but there's actually something missing since Yurishii and Akeko left. I still like their 1st album Anfang back in 2018. I mean sure from their single Fire Bird in 2019, their 2nd album Wahl in 2020 to the Episode of Roselia soundtracks in 2021 they still have some good and decent songs but ever since 2022 when ROZEN HORIZON came out and other singles such as Swear ~Night & Day~, Throne of Rose, and VIOLET LINE they started to sound the same like they riff off Louder and Fire Bird multiple times. And you know what is worse? their recent 3rd album called Für Immer is such a total letdown, so uninspired, and nothing but a cynical cash grab, I mean just look at the track listings in it, half of its songs are rerecordings of their 1st album Anfang and the other are from Episode of Roselia soundtrack and the new song that is accompanying it Floral Heaven is all over the place. I mean even their contemporaries from other legacy bands such as Poppin'Party, RAS, Morfonica, etc have better and more inspired songs not to mention the new generations of bands such as MyGO!!!!! and the new Gothic and Doom Metal band called Ave Mujica is darker, heavier, and more experimental than Roselia so in a way I'm no longer upset that Yurishii and Akeko left Roselia knowing that Roselia's music began to deteriorate and at least for me why should stay in Roselia if there's a real metal band in the franchise such as Ave Mujica that is more technical, darker, heavier and more experimental and besides some of the people I know back then who also like Roselia because of their gothic aesthetic began to switch their attention to Ave Mujica.
I’ll be honest the most recent Roselia music I’ve listened to were the songs released for the Roselia movies, but I can see what you mean about their quality deteriorating. I haven’t found any songs to be outright bad, but it does often sound like they’re just trying to recreate Fire Bird lol since that was a big success for them. We haven’t gotten a good slow/ballad song like Kiseki or Sanctuary in a while. I hope that maybe Ave Mujica getting more attention will allow Roselia more room to breathe and take risks with their music instead of trying to make “exciting anime opening #15” songs.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! And it’s cool to hear your thoughts as a Roselia fan. While I enjoyed the journeys each of the members went on in Episode II, I wish Episode I had better established their formation as a band because the opening character arcs are important for setting up their individual struggles later on.
when I first clicked this I thought I was going to throw hands but as a Roselia superfan, I think this was a perfect way to describe the movies!! Promise definitely lacks in coherent pacing and it overflows with the drama that Sing Alive lacks. I wish they focused more on meeting the members + assembling the band for the first one💔 it all feels so rushed, and people who might not know the story beforehand to catch the events and references would probably get very overwhelmed or confused watching it...
focusing on the members individually as they join would also give space for Sayo's character arc and to give Lisa more dimension so it doesn't go from "omg Sayo asshole" to "omg Sayo therapist" i love her but it's so stupid 😭
Great video! I agree with what you said about Bang Dream being a bit scared of making characters too unlikeable. I'm glad that in MyGo they finally decided to go full villain with some of their characters
