Eddie, I particularly like your point that technology is often easy to replicate and therefore provides no sustainable competitive advantage in itself. Most AI models are similar: powerful but available to everyone, including your competitors. To build sustainable competitive advantage, companies need to look hard at their own expertise and domain-specific data. Those are the inputs that, prepared and governed well, enable AI algorithms, tools, and platforms to deliver real results.
An interesting conversation. Organization prefer a style which less invasive to begin with . So consolidation is a natural choice to start the journey. To support upstream applications may consider evolving to co-existence style
Great point about creating a product for a group of users. We need to produce more than just a product. We need to take into account the capabilities of the user and whether it can easily be used to complete the given task. If it has more steps than they currently apply to complete the task today, it won't be worth adopting.
Great video Malcolm - totally agreed with this simpler set of 'options' - as a potential future customer, I know Profisee can deal with the Analytical implementation type but is it also OOTB equipped to deal with the operational 'service-bus' type implementation also?
I came across Profisee in 2019 ans since then I have been following the product. We didn't eventually implemented Profisee but the quality newsletter helped me understand better master data management. Super insightful. The disparity between the volume of applicants for technical roles vs leadership roles in the Data space is telling. I am happy to have been brought in to Jackson Lewis law firm at the senior analyst level so I can do more technical work but also be the main POC for the growing data governance program there.
