You was right I’d like it lol I have the same truck… I was trying to stay in the cab but you’ve helped me with that decision now idk if I want it visible but I like it…
I have a fiberglass bed cover, it’s just flipped against the cab. If that’s what you meant by visible. If you just meant the plexi, that’s not necessary. Just need some sort of removable panel to access the subs.
@@Van1018s yeah I like it all I just thought it was open so when your in the store or something everything is still visible, you know how thieves are at least where I live it bad lol but ima do something like this I’m not gonna copy you but I am gonna do a blow through now I have two nsv5 in a ported box in the cab and it’s loud just the frequency range sucks on ported box’s
@@chrisfiske nsv5 are great subs. Get them in a 4th or 6th your bandwidth will be much better. They don’t play low in a ported box. At least in my experience. I don’t drop below a 155 till 24hz. My peak is 159.8 @ 41hz. Sounds great on music. From 30-40hz I basically do a 159. On music. My truck also never leaves my shop except for shows and I trailer it to shows. I don’t think it’s been wet in 4 years. Lol. I got much bigger and better in the works though. Suburban with 8-12 18’s on 10k a sub. Most likely a 4th.
@@Van1018s I don’t know much about building boxes I could build it but idk how to figure all the air space and ports for the tuning and there’s no one around here that builds them but I wanted a 6th order but I got a ported box cause it was all I could have built and shipped
@@chrisfiske lots of computer programs that will do it for you. Some free “enclosure calculators” online that might even tell you what you need. If not call the manufacturer of your subs. Tell them your goals for what frequencies you would like the subs to play. How much space you have to work with and they should be able to help.
Hey Mike, VMP deleted your comment and my response. You need to Call VMP and tell them what's going on. If they still wont fix it then complain to BBB and they will make vmp fix your car right. Go to BBB first. Justin is off and on. Sometimes he takes care of issue and responds and sometimes he doesnt.
