In regard to the service, the service was very good at all locations except for the beach drink service which was lacking. Sometimes we felt as though we were invisible. The room was one of the best that we’ve stayed in but bring a digital clock as there isn’t one in the room. There are several USB outlets around the room and the room was cool and very comfortable. The refrigerator is not very cold as the front door is made of glass and not very efficient. The food overall was very good both in the buffets and the a la carte restaurants. Service in the a la cart restaurants was fast and efficient and we loved the food in these restaurants except for the Mexican restaurant which was our least favorite. If you don’t like what you ordered, they will happily bring you something else. The perks you get with “Unique” include one small bottle of rum, a small bottle of champagne (all Lopesan guests get this), a fruit platter and desert platter upon arrival, access to the Unique restaurant providing lobster and seafood, room service every day (regular guests need to request room service through the app), your own awesome butler who will book your restaurants and get you whatever you need, 45 minute hydro massage (pool with water jets), drink service on the beach, express check in and the ability to book any restaurant at anytime as a priority. The resort never feels busy even when it is full as you can see in my video. We enjoyed ourselves so much here that we will be back in two months.

The original video was taken in PQ on the Ninja with about 1000 nits. The output just had the Nikon color profile added to the timeline in Edius Pro 9 and exported. No lut was used. The original file does look better than the RU-vid version.
I visited Ambar in 2013 and 2015! I would want a renovated room the next time and I would definitely ask that no flowers be spread all over the bathroom and bed! Still can't figure why they chop at the Palm trees like that? Love the Resort overall, love the People and nature! The Ocean is breathtaking!
I use Grass Valley Edius Pro 9 to import the files from the Ninja V. There is a color correction profile for n-log in the editor which I just drop on the timeline and it does the conversion. I then export the project using PQ BT.2020. The video was just a test to see if it triggers HDR on my Oled which it does. I am currently refining this video to be less boring. The picture output is amazing in my opinion.
4Turbofan yeah definitely love the output result especially in HDR PQ mode(I’m using ninja v to record it), I use final cut and DavincinResolve, can you specify the correction profile like the name? I think it might be a lut but I searched on internet and no one is talking about it...

No, I did not take my DJI Magic Pro as you need a special permit from the DR government to fly there and the airline has the option to prevent you from taking it on the plane.
My wife & I were their for our Honeymoon in May of 2010. Loved it their. Back then there was not an Ambar Blue & Green We stayed in Villa 67. The food at this resort back then was incredible. Everything was great. We had the best food at the Main Restaurant next to the Lobby where you check in. One of the restaurants would not let me in because I did not bring dress pants along. I was going to the Caribbean - Why would I bring pants, Nobody told me I would have to have them to go to the restaurants. All the others let me in ( Can't recall which didn't ) We want to go back their again ( Hopefully for our 10 Year Anniversary )
You now only need pants for the Don Pablo A-La-Carte, the rest you can where dress shorts. There are now three lobbies for the Ambar as this adults only resort has expanded up to the main Bahia resort lobby. The better rooms are in Ambar Green as we always stayed in Blue as it is closet to the water. Unfortunately we were plagued with a swarm of mosquitos in our room everynight and the air conditioner never worked well last time we were there.
Unfortunately, I did not take a video of this procedure. The bumper lights came with a wiring diagram to indicate which wires to tap. I use them for brakes and parking lights.
This resort is for everyone as there are people of all ages here. At the Ambar, the staff actually serve you drinks at the beach, lobby and the pool. We have been here twice and we plan on going back again.
My Wife and I celebrated our 35 anniversary on Ambar 2 (now Anbar Green) in April 2015. Will be going back in March/April 2017 for sure. Wish I was there now.
