@@keyovangsta12 Generally inflatables are banned on cruise ships as they take up space in the pools. Out of caution I would hire one on the island as your luggage is scanned before you board and I’m not sure if they will allow you to take them on board, solely to use on Ocean Cay. We didn’t see anyone carrying floaties to the island. 🏝️

This is a really really good ship tour. We like how everything is labelled - great for freezing the screen if you want to. We have no immediate bookings on the Arvia but we’re going on the Iona, so we found this really interesting. Cheers!

Unfortunately there isn’t much shade on the island, when the vegetation matures more it may improve. Best suggestion is to head to lighthouse bay beach early and grab a free beach umbrella and move some chairs under it or pay $12 to hire one and take to another beach. Some of the beaches have shaded areas near the pathways under the trees which may be ok but not ideal as it’s further from the water. A lot of the beach bars have shaded seating but not very peaceful if you want to lay on a lounger and relax. When we go back we will definitely hire an umbrella just for a bit of relief from the sun. It is a gorgeous island despite the lack of shade and we thought it was the best stop on the trip but did feel a little frazzled after being out all day with no hats on 👏
Thank you 🙏 agree the smaller ships look fabulous, had a lot of comments that it’s great onboard Jewel of the Seas, we are guilty of going on all the new ships and forgetting about the smaller older ones which are just as good.

Thank you so much Brenda and welcome, we really appreciate you taking the time to comment and for supporting us. I didn’t see anyone tipping the shuttle drivers and they were very busy so little scope for them to give any extra personal service. They were very helpful though and did a good job. We were in Yacht club and one lady asked the driver if he could give her an island tour but he said they couldn’t. You will love Ocean Cay it is so beautiful and the colours of the sea is like something out of a movie. It was the best day of our cruise. Which ship are you going on? Thankyou. This was an afternoon tea in the Epicurean and it was delicious and looked great. We paid extra and booked before we sailed and it was worth the money.
Thank you for watching 🙏 Yacht Club is a fantastic concept and is a quiet haven where you are given the VIP treatment. Lots of lovely perks, good service and nice food. Can recommend it and excellent value for money compared with other cruise lines suite comparisons.
They have stopped running the fountains now, no idea why, maybe not enough people watching them. We loved watching them and with the Atlantis in the background a great view.
