Hi there! ✨ I’m Michelle - a wife and mom of 2 who loves to travel and experience new places with my family. Recently, I have found a new love for cruising (specifically on DCL) so you can expect Disney content along with other exciting adventures sprinkled throughout. My goal is to share tips, reviews and overviews to make vacationing easier for you and your family. Looking forward to growing this community together as we share in our love for travel! I would say the quickest way would be to catch a ferry to St. George’s (if they are running on the day that you go) and then catch the bus from St. George’s over to St. David’s, which is where Clearwater Beach is located. If the ferry is not running, you can catch the ferry into Hamilton but then you will need to take 2 buses to get there. The first bus is St. George’s and then transfer to the St. David’s bus. You could also take a taxi from Hamilton to Clearwater Beach but that maybe a bit pricey. Hope this helps!
@@oureverydayplaces1 thank you so much I appreciate it I was trying to decide which port to do a dolphin encounter at and your video was very helpful I am also glad you got your pictures even though expensive I read at other ports and dolphin encounter experiences people paid but never got their pictures with the dolphins
I saw this excursion was 7.5 hours. I'm doing the same cruise thru disney. We get a 730am and leave at 4:45p. Did they drop you off in time? Did you rush to get back onto the ship? I'm just worried to be left behind. Or be a pier runner with my kiddos.
We arrived back to the ship with more than enough time. It was about 2 hours before the ship was scheduled to leave. If you book through DCL they ensure that you are back in time and the ship will wait for you if you encounter any delays while on tour (or at least that’s what we were told).
Hi there, not sure what offer letter you are waiting for. This video is referring to the check in process which takes place about a month before embarkation day. Does your app say pending review?
Thank you for your honest review!! We are bringing my 15 months old daughter and 3yr old son next year and this helped me decide if this would be a good excursions for us and our 11yr old twins, as well!
Hi Crystal! The bird food was included. I did see an opportunity to interact with sting rays but I’m pretty sure it was an additional cost. Hope this helps!
Weird question, but could you leave your beach towels on the bus/van/whatever while touring the ruins? Or did you have to lug them around with you? Thanks for the video!
Yes, we were allowed to leave our beach bags/towels on the tour bus while at the ruins. The driver stayed on the bus and when he wasn’t there, we were told that the bus would be locked. I left all my non valuables on the bus and it wasn’t a problem. Hope this is helpful!
Im doing this Excursion with my 4 year old. Did you bring extra clothes to change into? What did you with your belonging? I want bring my phone for photos on for the falls? What do you recommend?
We wore our swimsuits under a coverup and I just put the coverup back on once finished with the water activities. I brought a change of clothes for my kids and quickly changed them before heading back to the ship. We had a bit of free time after each excursion so it worked out. I kept all of my non-valuable items on the bus with the driver. The tour guide said it would be safe to leave non valuables so I left my beach bag, towels and change of clothes. I brought my phone and a bit of cash with me on the waterfall and put it in a really good waterproof case that I wore around my neck. It worked out fine for me. I hope this is helpful 🩷
So helpful, thank you! Do you know if you get prioritised for an earlier boarding time if you are taking the Disney Cruise shuttle connection from the parks? We were thinking of staying at a hotel near Kennedy Space centre and then heading over to the cruise to board but I was told I might end up with a late boarding time if I don't come from the Disney Park or Hyatt Recency at the airport.
You can stay at whatever hotel you choose, as this does not affect port arrival time. Choosing the Disney ground transportation does not ensure that you will be on the ship any earlier either. The main factor is how quick/soon you complete the online check in process. Also what Castaway Cay status you are at is important as those with Pearl, Platinum, Gold and Silver are able to complete online check in before a first time cruiser (unless you are sailing concierge). I have stayed at a hotel nearby and we drove our rental car to the port and my party received a port arrival time of 11:30 which is quite early… so definitely stay where you want. Hope this helps!
We were in the water and interacted with the dolphins for about 20 mins but spent about an hour and a half at the facility. We purchased the dolphin interaction excursion but if you get the swim with the dolphin choice you get an additional 10-15 minutes. Hope this helps!
We have this excursion booked and I was debating cancelling but this sounds amazing. So helpful! Thank you! What did you pack/wear for the day? Did they have lockers at the falls?
I’m glad this was helpful! Out of the 2 activities, I definitely enjoyed Dunn’s River more. There are lockers at the falls but we left our items on the tour bus and it was fine. I did have a waterproof case that I wore around my neck where I kept my phone and any valuables and I took this on the excursions with me. On the day I wore water shoes and a bathing suit under my cover up. I also brought a towel and a change of clothes for the ride back to the ship. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🩷
The ferry is a great choice as it has a ramp and is wheelchair accessible. The bus unfortunately is not. I would recommend you having a chat with the shore excursion team of the cruise line and asking them which excursions are wheelchair accessible as some of the private tour buses may be. The Dockyard port area is however very accessible because it has lots of side walks and is quite flat. I hope this helps!
I would check the age for the excursion. If they allow you to book it for your two year old, then I would think it is ok for him/her to touch the dolphins. The standing area in the water was deeper than I expected so you may need to hold your two year old in your arms. They provide life jackets for all guests. I hope this is helpful!
I usually just submit the entire bottom page that has all the information and the passport photo. I have never submitted the signature page and they have never asked me for it or to resubmit. I hope this is helpful to you and thanks for watching the video!
Hi Angel, no it doesn’t. They just ask that you take a close-up head shot photo on a white background (you can use a wall 👍) and do not wear a hat or glasses. You can smile in the photo and if you have had a recent change such as a major haircut etc. and look different in the photo vs passport pic, that’s ok too. 😊 Hope this helps and happy cruising!
I think anytime between May and October is good to visit. Keeping in mind that Aug/September is peak hurricane season and quite hot. The water may still be a bit too cold in May but the overall weather is beautiful and pleasant. I hope this helps!
I was there aboard the Norwegian Pearl just over a week ago. Absolutely love Bermuda and the Royal Naval Dockyard. Been there 4 times and I'll be back there in March. Love the Bone Fish bar and grill. Their food is amazing and the people there as you said in the video are exceptionally friendly.
Wow! Four times… that’s awesome! We did have a quick bite at the Bonefish Restaurant right by the cruise ship and you are right it was quite yummy. Happy sailing on your next cruise!
If there are 6 people traveling together taking a taxi together would be approximately the same price, and they wouldn’t have to wait around for the mini bus to fill up before leaving.
