I just heard a green enviromental commercial for BC saying....a future for clean water....wait! BC had dirty water...yes In rural native parts but that has nothing to do with enviroment...had to do with....well i dont need to tell you...but BC and needs to have a future with clean water...do peopke even think?...its all about taxes...and collecting money...fear mongering...BC has one of the cleanest freshest water in the world.
Excited to see how this future expansion and building design plays out. Something I miss from my time at UVic was the outstanding campus lifestyle, the co-proximity with nature, and the year-round pleasant weather. The engineering lab wing, in particular, was my home for 7 years. UVic's Software Engineering was so far ahead of its time, the principles I learned there 20 years ago (2001-2008) are relevant to this day. Even more so with advances in AI and generative design, the lessons in UX driven design are even more important than ever. The mechatronics projects where we learned how to rip apart cheap parts, figure out their functions, and craft new prototypes. It liberated the mind to get-down-and-dirty with the equipment, look under the covers, figure things out, be creative. Looking forward to UVic's Engineering and CS future.
