Hi, I'm BossFHockey I do reviews of field hockey sticks here on RU-vid. I also run a news feed on Instagram @BossFHockey, where I sometimes partner with brands to run giveaways. If you want to support what I am doing and help me complete more reviews and giveaways then you can do that on Patreon which you can find on my quick links or on my website.
Go top right as the keeper will be on glove side so less reach then with the stick I’m a goalie it’s a mega pain because I’m as good with my left hand as my stick but way less reach
what stick/stick bow would you recommend for a quite advanced player (about kent team level) who is 15. If it helps I play everywhere really (prefer up front) and most of the time I just do one drag and "drive the baseline" . I also want a stick with good power, and sometimes use 3d skill, but not too often.
@@BossFHockey nothing I super dislike, it is a bit used (2 yrs so I might just get another as a backup and to experiment), I am not sure if I would perform better with a different bow and sometimes I feel like it has little power, but recently my hits are very strong so it was probably me lol. Also I feel like the bow is not as steep as I expected but that could be good or bad idk. The thing is, I had an otter stick (the blue really low bow one) and it was unusable(literally) in like 1 month so I never got to try a low(er) bow stick than mine for very long. I did like it at the time, but I never had to play defence back then either, and I am not sure how my priorities may have changed. Wanted to know if it would be useful to get a lower bow or mid bow, and how hard it is to hit low with a low bow too - can you get used to it pretty easily? Is there any point getting a low bow for someone like me?
A lower bow would help with 3d skills, it's fairly easy to adapt to a slightly lower bow, probably only takes a session or 2. You can hit powerfully low once you have adapted
Do you clip hit usually or just normal? Also how do you control your shots better and get power because I can rarely hit high on command and in general my hits can lack power sometimes
Tend to high normally more. I only really hit shots at goal or clearances. The other points are all down to technique, there're a few places you can look for tutorial videos like Hertzberger TV
@@BossFHockey A loop is supposed to loop the video, making it feel like it doesnt have an end, which is Done with the last and first parts of the video being the same or similar.
Could you someday review a csign stick please? My old coach said they were good but have never tried one ☹️. I understand that sticks are expensive and the brand is not super popular, but just a request since I cannot find other reviews and I like how you give lots of footage and reviews are in depth.
Got a blanc when It first dropped played with it for a week and thought this isn’t it but carried on anyway after abt 3 weeks got used to it and in my opinion (proabably because I’m now used to it) feels so much more natural drag flicks are absolutely immense dribbling feels great and the power is rlly decent for weight and size. For context I’ve been using a y1 ADB X but blanc is my main stick now
i bought the project blanc, used it for a week and sold it to a friend. Couldnt really slap with it or do quick passes as the head felt weak and couldnt generate any power. touch was strange as well due to the shape of the head. went back to my regular Y1 Low bow and felt way different and better. its put all its skill points into dragflicking that everything else suffers
For my part, I think the project blanc is really cool. I don't feel like I'm straining to get powerful shots and passes and I don't have any trouble with slap. But it's true that controlling balls is much more complicated because of the shape. I used to play with an very old atlas zx9000 and a naked pro 90.
Hey, I’ve used the TX24 since 2016. Time for a new stick 😂. Do you know if the Shosa is comparable? Looks like the carbon content and the bow measurement are the same
