Roller Derby was way ahead of it's time. When it came to men and women on a equal level. Coed team sport. That dynamic was ahead of it's time. That dynamic made Roller Derby great. Men alone or woman alone. Won't fly with real Roller Derby fans. Until you play old school in all regards. It's a recreational league and true old school fans will watch for a minute then turn off . Disappointing fans and leaving the fans wishing they get it right. Until then you won't be taken seriously. To bad What's good for Sandy Dunn, Ann Calvello, and Joanie Wesson is good for these women unless they aren't woman enough. Men also need the woman. That dynamic sells tickets. Wear a uniform, no tank top , no lingerie, fish nets ,no face paint. Take the sport seriously if you want taken seriously. The the old school Roller Derby fans demand these things. The game has regressed . No men , no blacks, no Hispanics . Old School had it all. It appears this version of the game is for sissy white women with lesbian overtones . Old school most likely had a few lesbians but it was not emphasized. Like I said old school had it all. The emphasis tough hardcore action. That quite honestly these women could not handle. They are not in shape and their flamboyants is distracting.
