Let’s talk about backpacks, travel gear, camping equipment, stationery, EDC and everything onebag. A steady stream of reviews, walkthroughs, discussions and everything else you need to know about what you carry and what you carry it in.
Hi I was curious if you have ever used the parallels as a dip pen with India inks . And you experience si you had with cleaning consistent flow, kinks in the ink(ink blobs)?
I am a calligrapher of 37 years, and I use Pilot Parallel pens quite a lot. Informative video, but there are easier ways to do this. With all due respect, sir, you made this much too difficult.
I loved this video, it shows what can happen if you’re a normal person working with ink pens. Thanks, now I don’t feel so defeated when I get ink on something!
LMFAO when you compared the pans to a relationship. I almost squirted my coffee out on the screen. I like that you showed that the lids dont fit. That is so weird.
Being that these are 2 way stretch and not 4 way, do these feel at all restrictive? I’m looming for supreme stretch that almost feels like a work out short.
I don’t personally find them restrictive at all but I think it’ll also depend on how it fits on you. Because these shirts tend to run slim, they may feel a little tight when doing “stretchy” activities, but in terms of the fabric itself, I would say it has enough all-way stretch or give. It was never an issue for me.
I will say you are wrong on 2 two things of the zijirushi there is a one you can get it in matte 2 if you put in ice even if it’s a little ice the length of coldness is over 24 hours I have had my ice in my bottle still be in there 48 hours laters when I went to find the bottle I forgot about as I have several of them.
Eres un completo idiota; no puedo creer que no hayas podido rellenar el cartucho sin derramar más de la mitad de la tinta... Anyway, gringos at work...
I just submerge everything under water in a small bowl. You can still use the bulb or a cleaning converter or anything that creates water/air pressure when it's under the water. It'll suck and blow the air in and out each time, similar to refilling a non-cartridge fountain pen in an inkwell. That way you don't have to draw water into it each time, and also there's less splashing. And as for the cartridges, I only have a couple Namiki cartridges, so maybe this has changed, but on the ones I have there's no ball inside and no flap that I can see. I find that these don't even need a syringe like most cartridges. I can just refill them with a small eyedropper as long as I take it slow--if I go fast it will try to overflow on me. That's how I refill my Pilot Metropolitans; I haven't even bought converters for them because the cartridges refill so easily, no needle syringe needed. If I found one with a flap and ball I would try to remove them. It doesn't seem to cause any excess ink flow to have an open end as the ones I have. On my Parker cartridges I do notice a flap and if I remove it by scoring with a knife that does cause fitting issues, and leakage, and the opening is so small you need a needle syringe, but not so with the Pilot/Namiki cartridges.
Thanks for the review, not too many reviews for this set. Your teflon coating looks to be in 'ok' shape, but definitely not perfect. I'm curious if you could let us know what sort of utensils you use in the pan (wood, plastic, metal), and what you've been using to clean. I'm trying to decide if I want my next set to be this (non-stick) or Stainless Steel. Thanks!
Yeah, my set is in rough shape as I’ve been using it for years now. I generally try to use plastic utensils on this pan, though admittedly I have used metal on it several times as well when the need arose. For washing this set in the backcountry I use Sea to Summit’s multi-purpose wash (I think it’s called wilderness wash). Good luck with picking your next set! I’ve never had a stainless steel set, so I can’t give my opinion on it. Hope this helped and thanks for watching!
Stainless steel has advantages in terms of holding heat and heating evenly. But no matter what you do - seasoning, temp monitoring, etc., at some point you will have food stick and will have to spend additional time cleaning it. If Stanley would put a non-stick coating on the even heat fry pan, they'd own the market. But they won't likely add that feature. For simple ease of cleaning, I've gone back to a non-stick aluminum pan. Just quicker and easier to deal with.
Great review I am picking up the 3.0 version mini also did you get the bigger version of this one? If so could you do a review on it thanks. I am getting more into camping overlanding
I don’t have the bigger version, but the new 3.0 looks much improved and made some welcome changes that solved some issues I had with this one. Still recommend it for a packable blanket. Thanks for watching! 👍🏽
@@carrygodmother8360 the m you for the response, I just got the 3.0 mini I haven’t opened it yet I plant to I was just worried it is going to be really small.
Great review. Had looked at this bag a while back but was turned off by the one open pocket. The two dividers & d ring r a great addition. If u measured buckle end to buckle end with the strap fully extended how many inches would u say that would be?? Subscribed & liked.
I just measured it and end-to-end the strap measures at around 33 inches. Add another half inch or so for the connector on the other side and that’s essentially the largest possible girth you can go without any mods. Hope this helped, thanks for watching and reach out if you have any other questions :)
Whoa 😳 There must be some little fellers on that side of the world. That’s going to be about 10 inches short for me. Hey thanx for the reply & have a great day!!
And, Bihn makes two perfectly rectangular packing cubes that have straps and hence double as day packs (this Daylight is a slightly teardrop shape which is less efficient inside rectangular luggage but works well as an packing cube inside a larger teardrop day pack. An alternative use is as a "pullout" bag inside a larger carry-on luggage that might be at risk for gate checking.
Black. I’ve had those shorts for 2 years now and I did notice they’re not as black as they used to be. Still great shorts tho, if you can swallow the price. Thanks for watching!
Damn just bought one and now 3.0 version available, looks like they looked at your video and adopted all your suggestions in new version, larger pouch, loop small version and more water resistant.
Woah, really? I had no idea there is a new version of the blanket. I think you’ll still find the V2 you bought pretty useful and handy, I know I did. Glad they’re making those changes though. Thanks for letting me know!
Different inks react differently, but for that particular one, I used Rohrer & Klingner Alt-goldgrun, which is a fantastic shading ink if you like green. But you can pretty much use any ink you like, for the most part would work fine with the pilot parallel. If you like blue, the Iroshizuki Kon-Peki works beautifully with that pen too.
@@ReneAlexisPenalozaMunoz oh yeah different size nibs, eh? I love ink and love penmanship and writing. Hope you enjoy it, it can be an expensive hobby but when you get the letters right, it’s so satisfying and beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to watch my video, let me know if I can be of any future help :)
Just love these Pinnacle line, started with the 10” pan for camping, while trying it at home I was impressed with the performance, I bought the small kit for camping, added the 5 liter tub so I could fit plates, a small stainless pot for coffee and an Ozark Trail cup all fitted nice inside the tub, added a UCO utensil combo and a separate pot grabber since the one provided gets too hot to interchange, I car camp so weight is not an issue. Took it in the field, again the performance was outstanding so I bought the big set to keep in my second home in Baja which is a 30’ trailer, not much space for cookware. Now I’m able to have quality cookware in Baja that doesn’t take much space, and my modified small set for camping. Thanks for the video.👍🏻 very well done.
Woah that’s quite an impressive set-up you’ve made for yourself. Good call on just throwing everything in the tub for grab’n’go car camping, I’ll try that myself this summer. And thanks for the kind words!
Like you, I prefer swinging it over my left shoulder. Also right hand dominant, so my Evergoods CPL works perfectly for me. But people gotta complain, lol.
Yes! That was a key feature for me on the CPL. I find most backpacks with vertical access have zipps on the opposite side unfortunately. Thanks for your feedback! 👍🏽
