Hello, there is a doorway with stairs that will take you up to the first floor and you can purchase the tickets inside the Einstein House. After you tour the apartment you go up another flight of stairs to see the museum portion. Go early before the tour groups show up. It is a tight space. Hope that helps!

My (ex) hubby and I were stationed there from "78-81. We lived on Kirchstrasse in Hohenecken, right next to the church and heard the bells thruout the day. We rented from Germans for the first two years, then moved into govt housing. My son was born at Landstuhl army hospital! I missed our little apartment, l we could look out our living room window and see the castle on the hilltop. We spent many happy hours there. We'd get some guys together, take a case of beer and a frisbee and go spend the afternoon there on weekends. It sure has changed in 44 years! There were no signs and things have changed at the castle since then. I would love to go back there!
Wow, that's so cool! Nothing compares to the church bells. 🔔 We lived next to a church for two years in the next town Krickenbach. We just recently moved on base. That's amazing that you had your son here. The castle is currently being remodeled and has changed a lot more since this video. Maybe we'll make an updated tour soon. Thank you for your comment.
