I have such a terrible phobia for amphibians and reptiles, which is getting worse by the day. I'm fascinated watching them in the wild, I do not even flinch when a snake passes me in the bush but not in my house! I will photograph lizards big and small on a rock close to me, but not in my space inside a room. They freak the heck out of me. I do not understand my ridiculous fear. I've done walking Safaris with not a fear in my body. I owned a house in a wildlife reserve with lions walking down the road. It just fascinates me. I love, love nature, but can't handle these beautiful little creatures in my house. This summer, we had a few frogs moving into our garden due to our water features(their calls are so beautiful), and some came inside to have a look around. Each and every time it was I who stumbled on them in the kitchen, me screaming and shaking and me giving my husband a heart attack! I know where my fear originated, but I wish I could overcome it. 😢
he carries some pied gene. see the white claws? because its just the claws he is a 'light pied' so not worth any more then a normal male eclectus but still cool! thanks for sharing
My bird hates his harness 😢 he attacks it, I messed up badly by being annoyed cause he wasn’t wearing it so it forced it on him. He was petrified and he hated it more😔 pls help

Hi there KayFay, This depends on where you live. Here in NSW you will need a license if you plan on welcoming any reptile into your family. Nothing for olive pythons or scrub pythons? I've got 2 olives and was thinking of something 700mm deep x 1200 high and 2400 long or is that still too small? I live in Melbourne so can't have an outdoor enclosure due to weather.

Hey guys, quick question. I have a junvenile Pygmy beardy and she/he is going through Brumation. I got this beardy back in march so I’m not sure exactly how old it is. I’ve read that it can be bad for them and could possibly result in death as they are young. I’ve ended up getting a heat map to make sure it’s warm at night aswell. After doing this my beardy perked back up again and started eating again, however she still shows the signs of Brumation like in your video. Just wondering if I should definitely leave him/her to Brumation or try and snap my beardy out of it ?
Thanks for your great question. As long as your beardie has access to a hot basking spot it’s best to let them decide what they want to do when it comes to brumation. They will bask and eat if they wish to do so. Even young dragons may enter brumation and it’s completely normal for them to still eat small amounts throughout the duration of winter. Just keep an eye on his/her body condition and adding some additional heat such as a heat mat or carbon fiber heat emitter is a great idea if your house gets particularly cold. There are a number of mature adult albino Murray short-neck turtles in captivity and to date, no one has been able to breed from a visual albino. The only albinos that have been bred have all originated from 100% het pairings.
@@kellyvillepetsMy friend has a number of these adults from SA breeder, they have bred from pure albinos. I would also add, that if they originate from ‘100% hets’, that would require an albino to have reproduced, or it would be less heterozygous.

Absolutely fabulous, I did not know this. You did forget 1 part the cuttlebone its away good to put them there. I have 9 budgies are only got 4 breeding pairs noticed them mating so il use some of your good tips. Also 1 questions 1 of my breeding pair are mating but I don't think the male does not know how to mate. Do you have any idea on why is this.
I have a different style harness and a cockatoo..were still working on getting his head in the thing. I have hope....but can see having to buy a few before he gets one on. He's fast and likes chewing it.
Hi Jay Jay, neither of them do. There are no amphibians that give you warts. This myth has been around for a long time and is probably related to the fact that many frogs and toads have warty looking bumps on their skin. These are glands and do not secrete anything that can cause you to have warts!
Hi. I’m back with Felix. He’s now a mature adult over one year old. It’s summer here so he goes out nearly the whole day. I just have one issue. I use newspaper as a substrate. He tends to run into his poo getting him dirty all the time. Meaning I don’t spend as much personal time as we used to. Do you have a fix?
We recommend using fine desert sand as a substrate for bearded dragons. It’s the most natural substrate for them and is very easy to clean as it clumps together on any poos. Changing to a natural sand substrate will certainly solve your problem :)
When I was at TAFE, for Pathology Technician Cert, we used to have to dissect cane toads (among other animals), which I hated doing. But the worst thing we had to do, was open up pithed cane toads & hook up their still beating hearts to a simple little archaic device to get a reading. Once, they even showed us how they pithed the toads. Not a happy time for a person who regards all animal life precious (even cane toads deserve, at least, a painless death).
