The LeFreque. It’s a little gadget that connects the mouthpiece to the lead pipe on the outside. I was trying it out for the first time with a large group in this performance.
Sorry to hear they are closing; however, I had a feeling this would happen. Tried to work a deal with one of the staff over the phone and he said "he couldn't do it", which I know wasn't true. I wound up going to another retailer (not GC) and got another 15% off the price I presented to Sam Ash. Bottom line is they had the room, it was just greed. Never shopped there again.
Wow, Dylan! What a great story. I never knew that you worked there. I shopped there a couple of times too in the late 90s and early 2000s. If I am not mistaken, that is where I bought my compressor to do my Podcast show. But, I do remember that one time I went in there, I started playing with the keyboards and started putting together a melody. Once I got home, I recorded it (or sequenced it on the computer) and call it the “Sam Ash Dash”. Anyway, thanks, for sharing the news (I didn’t know it was closing) and for sharing your story!
When I was still playing, Holst and other artists like him were constant favorites of mine. I loved how regal and bombastic the tuba parts played. Great video.
They don't work... All the companies that make them are being sued or are out of business already. It's a giant scam. Make sure you do your research so you don't waste your money. You cant fix a physiological lack of receptors.
Colorblindness is a genetic condition. These glasses help organize the light frequencies so that red-green colorblindness can be helped, not cured. It's like the saturation in my eyes got turned up about 30%.
Hey what happened to your outdoor one with your son and ET? I was going to post a comment there but was suspended for 24 hours lol! Enjoyed this one too!
Cool...love the ending! As a side note, you mentioned you have the Rode NTH 100 headphones. I just ordered the headset mic for those, did you know they make a plug in one for them and if so do you have it? Just wanted some feedback. It's $80 up here, I should have it by the end of the month.
that tuba has a real nice bottom end....does not look like an easy instrument to play, kudos to you I think I'd pass out after a minute or so lol! I love the tone on that one in particular tho.
It's about as big of a bore size as one can get on a brass instrument, so it certainly takes a lot of air. I mean, it has one of the largest bores on any CC tuba I've ever seen, if not the largest.
