Great vis, however, you should show the deleted scene of the pipe bursting/separating. This would help emphasise your point. Oops, I saw it very cool... So much for patience...
That last oops was perfect. It illustrates how water hammer can be detrimental, especially to imperfect joints that was not cerrectly installed, behind the walls.
Thank you for your video. I really liked how you were able to demonstrate the ram pump with a minimal setup. Also, I like your clear parts - where did you get them and did you make your own clear waste water check valve? Would you be willing to share a little more about your objectives and see if we might have some interests in common, either here or on your channel about page? @@anaginter9137 Thank you for your reply and best wishes for your classes. If there is an overlap with other water powered pump situations, please keep Facebook group and me in mind. I've been surprised with how many types of pumps there are that can use flowing water to pump water to a higher location - all seem to use a lot of flowing water to pump a little flowing water higher. facebook.com/groups/240458583255303/ We just had a contest to see if anyone other than Brian White could build a functional Pulser pump - a water powered pump with no moving parts. It can be done, and my pump did work occasionally, pumping water 6 feet higher than my base water level, but I could not get it to work reliably. Ended giving the $10 contest money to charity. facebook.com/groups/240458583255303/permalink/562375124396979/ Pulser Pumps may be for special situations, but since the pump has no moving parts, I couldn't let it pass by without a try.
