Welcome to Fore to Four Golf! I'm Dave, and I make golf videos from Perth in Western Australia, and sometimes further afield! The aim of the channel is to track my progress from shouting 'fore' to having a 4 Handicap! I'll share videos of me on the course, and also about products and technology that are helping me improve my game!
Hey mate, this just got reccomended to me cos this list local course! Definitely reccomend joining the club and I might see you playing 👍 happy for you to film if you were in my group haha
Shots fired at the microphone on hat gang! I've been guilty of the hat clip, but it does always make me feel like a bit of a knob walking around the course with the dead cat on my bill. Glad to have you back in front of the camera.
Being on a good score we tend to do everything faster. So make sure to walk your normal pace, whatever pre shot routine you have stick with it and don't cut corners. We seem to want to get off the course quicker and do everything faster. Equally don't slow down to a crawl. It's just being aware of your pace of everything. Another thing I do is make sure I'm not strangling the club. So I let go and then re-grip carefully. Don't take on dumb shots but don't shy away from your regular shot. Being over cautious is just as ruinous as being over aggressive.
@@ForetoFourGolf That was an interesting golf course. I do like these 'moon scape' courses. You can see a long way but can't see much. It's an assualt to the senses. Weather miserable here, I've had breaks that I didn't want.
@@ForetoFourGolf Oh yes, I seem to remember you mentioning moving house. I don't have a local this year, I'm playing over an hour away which means no golf after work. I'll be back at Red Mountain in 4 weeks. My last trip before retiring. I'm getting old now.
entertaining video! Joel always cracks me up but Gravy is quite fun to listen to as well. Some good shots in there too, keep up the great content guys!
Hello Dave, good to see you back on the air waves again. I like the dog. I need him for the time my shot goes into the rough and trees. lol The terrain on this course is amazing. I really like the look. The flies are crazy there. You need to bring a powerbank with you when you go out to play. Thanks for sharing your round. A great little course indeed.
Hey Dave, Paul here. Yes, another RU-vid channel lol. A great look from the #1 tee box. After that putt on one, I can understand. lol It's like your own private course. Tip of the golf cap to the owner. Thanks for sharing Dave. Cheers!
At my previous club, Margaret River, we used to play stroke of the Red Tees on the Thursday closest to the Winter Solstice in June. Play the shortest course on the shortest day - great fun, but a very different golf course !
@@ForetoFourGolf Yes it's a good club, too. Moved home to Albany in May 2023 and loving playing the famous Albany links again. It was recently ranked in the Top 100 courses in Australia by Golf Digest. If you haven't played here, it's worth a game and would love to play with you. Keep the videos coming, Dave. I used to watch them all back when you were making them. Lots of fun!
Banana! A tale of 2 9's is all too familiar. Crazy how the chopping yops can attack anyone at anytime ( but I don’t think Joel has ever been a good chipper) What are you off now - did you improve from 7.4?
@@ForetoFourGolf Similar story here. I used to practise twice a week, played tennis once a week, did yoga/pilates twice a week and got down to 7. Then got injured, married, kids, and got back into it playing 3 times / month, off 15. Almost weekly now and off 12. I know you're based in WA. Have you ever played any courses in NSW?
@@ForetoFourGolfPlease reach out to me if you make any plans to come to NSW. I live in Wollongong (80km / 1.25hr south of Sydney). I can show you around some of the hidden gems with have down here.
"gotta travel" I like that term for shots that look to be short. If I remember, I'll shout out Joel for that one. It would be very bad to let the group play through that let you play through. lol Enjoyed watching the two of you play today.
