This bus is sick and something is wrong with the 2012 Gillig Advantage Low Floor bus and is it possible true that the Cummins L9 engine needs a tuneup. What do you think about this.
@mikereynolds1408 It's an ISL9 engine, not an L9. The L9 was introduced in early-2017 as an upgraded version of the ISL9. Also, I'm not sure what issues with the bus's drive train may be, as DDOT are known for its lousy maintenance and no cleanup crews. Regardless, these Gillig units of DDOT will likely be replaced in 2025 but who knows...
@davidbeardsley7429 Suburban SMART only has 4 of them as a split order from DDOT. I doubt SMART will purchase anymore Proterra ZX5 models. They may possibly purchase Gillig LF+ electric buses, and DDOT may possibly purchase New Flyer XE40 electric buses as well, but I seriously doubt that'll ever happen.
AAATA is such a great transit agency. I'ma return someday and catch the University of Michigan's newest buses and hopefully their oldest buses if they're still around
I'd used to drive those 2010 D40LF on every route, but these buses are the worse than Gilligs coaches, this the same bus had near a accident because the brakes are too dry up (takes while to stop) to come down a complete stop on Woodward Ave.
@jacobsworld116 Also, unfortunately, the fan has been removed because part of the warehouse area was converted to classrooms for battery electric vehicles.
Thanks! It's been a while since you've commented on my video. Because of driver shortages and service reductions, these D40LF buses were unfeasible to remain in service.

Well, sorry that you missed out riding this route... This route will be replaced by SMART Flex--a SMART bus microtransit service on Monday, April 22nd, 2024.
@@baul104 Also, AAATA in Ann Arbor, MI is adding a new route in the next few weeks. An express route known as Rt 104 Washtenaw Express which will mimic Rt 4 Washtenaw (will be renamed "Washtenaw Local")
That’s strange, looks as though it is one of those situations where the wrong fan is in the box. Definitely not an Air King, seems to be a window fan. I’d potentially be interested in the fan if you’re not getting it.
